It was time for a new water heater, Matt came over on time, explained the process, provided a quote based on the the work to be done. We ran into a few hiccups but he clearly explained (and showed me) what he would be doing to correct the issue.

“We called Even Flow at 6am and Judy answered the phone. We told her the hot water tank was leaking and she asked that we send her a picture of the tank’s information. At 9am that same day Ben came to look at the tank. I had a lot of questions which he answered and even brought up some things we didn’t even think to ask He said he would get a tank but not that day. Since I was leaving that day and was going to be gone a few days, he turned off the water and gas to the tank so I didn’t have to worry. The day I came home John arrived at 8:15am with the new water heater. He said it would take approximately 2 hours to install and another 45 minutes for the water to get hot. Giving a timeframe was something I appreciated. After the installation was complete, John turned on all of the faucets in the sinks and showers to be sure everything was fine. Before he left he cleaned up everything so well no one would have known any work was done on the water heater. I LOVE everyone at Even Flow as they have super service and share information with you. “I woke up this morning and discovered N O WATER, YIKES!!!! After calling city, neighbors to see if they had water, etc. decided I must call a plumber. One could come out on Monday. Today is Thurs. That wouldn't work. Finally called Alexander. The gentleman said he could be here in 30 minutes. And he was. Another one of his staff arrived shortly. They were courteous, put "booties" on to keep my floors clean. Diagnosed the problem and had it fixed within 30 minutes. Cannot beat their rates. Highly recommend Alexander Plumbing. Joan G.“

“I called A.C.T because I had a problem with a brand new hose for my sump pump that wasn't connected right.

Water was shooting out from the base of the hose. I did ask my landscaper if he could install this brand new hose for me because i was in a pinch and he said yes. He said he would charge me $60 for a very simple job.

However...i needed this done so i paid him $60 to do this. A couple days later when we had some bad rain i was outside and noticed the hose was shooting out water of the base of the hose. The same thing that happened to my old hose that i needed to replace with the new hose.The only difference was the old hose actually had a split in the hose (because it was old) so I needed to buy a new hose.

When A.C.T. came out he told me right away the landscaper didn't tighten the hose in a couple spots leaving water to shoot out from the base of the hose.

Prior to all this i did called the landscaper to tell him what happened he told me it wasn't an emergency and it could wait. That didn't make me very happy because i paid him $60 to do the job right and when i told him what happened he didn't at all seem alarmed and couldn't be at my house for about 3 days. I was shocked.

Thats when i talked to my neighbor and they recommended A.C.T. and i can see why... he was excellent, and charge me a trip charge which I felt was very fair. He came out on a Sunday and he fixed the problem, and above all done it right the first time.

The purpose of this review is to solely let people know that there are good trusting, reputable companies that truly care about their customers.

ASAP and fix the problem.

Easy fix...however, the problem was the landscaper he did not tighten the hoses.

Next time ill go with the professionals.

I called another plumber near me first because i wasn't sure if my home was too far from Elgin for them. I should have called them first when I saw they were recommended on the NextDoor app!
Right away the first plumber i called, had called these guys in. That plumber spoke so highly of these guys at A&E so i was confident with the recommendation.

These guys arrived in about 30 minutes. I warned them before they went down into my basement. I had a soft blockage that caused raw seeage to go up and flood my entire basement floor. Yeah, it was WAY worse than it sounds. These guys are tough, hardworking professionals. They were able to get my pipes drained and water flowing again. I am so thankful they were brave enough to go into my basement. I wasn't going anywhere near the door! Thank you A&E (:“

“We had a septic emergency. Called and was told all the trucks were in for the day and they are closed on weekends. I was put on a brief hold and was told the last technician on the road was able to swing by. We had to obviously pay an emergency fee but we expected that. Thanks for being super accommodating, great service I definitely recommend them.“

Phil is a highly-skilled plumber and walked us through what we needed step by step and made sure that we were educated about how to maintain our new garbage disposal. “Zack does an excellent job from start to finish, whether big or small projects- it doesn't matter. We provide electrical services to him and he is great to work for. He does it right and does not cut corners (unless you specifically ask him to cut corners, like for our new crown molding!) I asked about a tricky installation to a sloped ceiling at our house. We had called 4 carpenters who said that it was impossible without putting transition blocks in the corners. It was a small job, so we weren't sure that Zack would have time. He said that it was within his wheelhouse and got us scheduled to the first opening he had. Zack texted on the way to confirm and set up tarps once he arrived. After a practice cut and a few modifications, he got to work. He is incredibly patient, but efficient at the same time. When he finished there were a several little triangle cuts in the trash and he never needed the spare 12 footer that we bought just in case. It turned out perfectly and we get all kinds of compliments about our updated great room!“

“Earlier this summer, I was referred to Com24 for basic ductwork cleaning. The team, lead by Nathan, was amazing and helped uncover a hidden mold issue with my AC unit. They discovered that I had an oversized unit that was producing too much humidity creating mold growth in the ducts and vents. After dealing with some major health and respiratory issues with my kids, we found the source of the problem and knew we needed to replace both AC and furnace units. “Dave's Plumbing came out and repaired issues with two toilets that a previous (licensed) plumbing contractor misdiagnosed. The cost to repair the underlying issue for both toilets was essentially the same price I paid the previous plumber to simply reseat the two toilets.
