“First time coming back since the new owners. What a difference. After my previous experiences with the former owner and having to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to close to two hours to see Dr. DeKoster (who is no longer there), I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was seen by both staff and Doctor. First of all, the wonderful woman that was at the desk named Diamond was very kind and courteous and helpful. Had to fill out the necessary paperwork and it took no time to do this. I didn't even have a chance to sit down when I was called to do the preliminary eye exams. That part was handled by one of THE NICEST, BEST AND MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE people I have ever interacted with at Melrose. Her name is Nicole and it was one of the best experiences I ever had. She did a very thorough job of examining my eyes, explained each procedure and I felt totally at ease because of her. She is going to be a fantastic optometrist in the future! Afterwards, Dr.Dzubur came in and what a pleasant experience THAT was. Very down to earth guy, explains everything to you. I came away from this visit knowing more about my eyes than the entire times I went to Melrose Eyecare before. Very grateful for all of the help that I was given and how wonderful everyone treated me. I am very satisfied with the new owners and look forward to my next visit. Great job!“

I have never had someone explain the glasses cost breakdown in such a smart and clear way before. They simplified it so I understood my options ~ and there are loads of options and styles.Dr. Drewniak is fantastic. She listens and provides excellent care.The less Important stuff: this office is so cool! The coffee bar is top notch and the waiting room is comfy. The mural is the most interesting piece of art I have encountered in a medical setting.This was a great eye exam experience - from booking to glasses pick-up.Parking is easy. There are a few free parking options a block west on Lawrence and inexpensive metered parking options everywhere.“

Tammy told me to send them in, and she made sure to find frames within the budget that still looked amazing. Sometimes we might think a north shore store would only carry the most expensive brands, but there is an amazing range at New Vision, and you can find something great even on a tight budget. And both Tammy and Pat will do everything in their power to make sure you are happy. I will never go anywhere else. Both my son and I are very myopic, so we will be buying all our future glasses at New Vision from now on! There is a reason their clients are so loyal.“

“I have been seeing Dr. Merry Gindorf since shortly after moving to Cicero, Illinois in 1998. I am very nearsighted, have mild cataracts and some extra problems. I am a visual artist and have severe "lazy eye" which makes it hard for me to focus both eyes together. As a senior person, I have also developed a retinal condition causing me to see shadow doubles of the edges if things - making it hard to read and drive. Although I have seen opthalmologists before, they did not recognize the complexity of my eyesight the way Dr. Gindorf has been able to, assuring I gave the best possible coreective lenses. Because of her intelligence, kind and patient manner with me in the office and her comprehensive care, I have been seeing her for 25 years - I can't imagine a better doctor!“
