I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to Mat and his staff. Mat has treated me like one of his own family members as we worked together to create this memorable service for my dad. He had such a comforting demeanor, and the process was flawless. I cannot thank him enough for how great he made my dad look—all the little details, reminders, the church setup, etc.—he goes the extra mile, and I was amazed with his attention to detail. It's odd leaving such a glowing review of a funeral home of all things, but I feel it's important to do so.Mat was excellent to work with. He answered all of our questions, asked us lots of things we didn't even realize we needed to consider, and just generally helped us through every step of the process. This was obviously a very stressful time for us, and he made everything substantially easier.And while there are countless stories of funeral homes taking advantage of people or upselling product in times of distress, that most certainly did not happen here.He did a great job assembling the tribute montage from the photos and songs provided, shepherded... read full review
I cannot say enough good things about Hamsher Lakeside and the Funeral Director Mat. The facility was perfect for my father's funeral and the whole staff went ABOVE and BEYOND to make what could have been one of the worst days of my life so pleasant. Anything we needed, any questions we had, any ideas we wanted to try, Mat made a reality and made us feel so comfortable and at ease with the whole proces. We were so fulfilled in the service we were able to give for my father all because of Mat.
