I have an old Norelco 985RX electric razor. It has to be 25 yrs old. The battery died several years ago, but I didn't throw it away because it is BY FAR the best razor i have ever owned. I came across The Shaver Shop with a little research and the gentleman there repaired my razor and it is like brand new! No new "quad head, micro blade, beard sensing, etc etc can compare to the old Norelco!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS STORE!!

For many years, I've brought my electric shaver to The Shaver Shop of Evanston for annual maintenance and occasional repairs. The quality of work is first class. Check the hours; they are a bit unusual.

He always is able to get my 20 year-old Braun shaver working. Over time, I have paid far more for repairs than the shaver cost me new, but 20 years later, it's still running well. Re another comment about using salvaged parts, as my shaver ages, I'm sure many of the parts needed for repair are no longer available new, so salvaged parts keep me going. I recently bought the newest Braun model (900 series) and I still prefer my old Braun.
