“This review is long overdue. And yes, I know about their recent changes. All I'm offering is my experience, which has not suffered as a result of the change in ownership/management. Bramer has been our vet for 5 dogs over a course of 15 years, give or take. We have never, and I emphasize NEVER, had any issues or concerns with their level of medical knowledge, level of service or professionalism. Everyone we have even met there has been absolutely wonderful, from the vets that have departed to the new vet now and of course to all the vet techs and front office staff. I have also found their pricing to be very reasonable. We have been fortunate to have had such a great vet for our furkids. Most recently they fit us in quickly for last minute shots and paper work and gave us advice on travel meds for the kids. They were just as friendly and helpful as the very first time we walked through their doors. But, now, we are leaving the state and will no longer be able to bring our babies to them and that does make me sad. I only hope lightening strikes twice and that we find another awesome vet. Thank you Bramer for giving Bella, Hampton, Napoleon, Cooper and Winnie the attention they needed and for always being there for them. They have their tags and meds and are ready to travel!“
“When your pet isn't feeling well, or you just have your yearly visit, the veterinarians at Becker are always so professional and caring, along with the support staff.
Sunny and I highly recommend Becker!“
“I am very impressed and comfortable with the service both my dog and I receive at Glen Oak Animal Hospital. They are through and careful with care and instructions. I really like. Dr Ashley. All the staff there are so wonderful with my dog.“
“My dog is selective with food and other animals so I'm always anxious to take him to any vet clinic. The people there are very understanding of that and whenever I've gone, I feel like they treat my dog with kindness and genuine care. I feel very comfortable talking to the vet and we create a plan that's more collaborative.“
“Dr. Young and his staff are the greatest! He has been my dog’s vet for over one year and thoroughly checks him during each visit. He always gets some sort of sickness and the doctor heals him right away! Whether it’s his allergies or a virus, Dr. Young will explain a step by step process of what I need to do! This clinic is the best!! Highly recommend!“
“A practical approach to dog health. No pressure, very caring and attentive to our dog.“
“Veterinarian staff are wonderful. Prices are a little high… more expensive than our vet in NYC! The facility is clean and well maintained“
“We are 4 months post surgery. Annabelle healed very nicely, we will be setting up her other leg very soon, waiting for her to tell us she's ready!“
“I’ve had an incredible experience with MyVet so far. I adopted a 6-month old lab/Great Dane mix a few weeks ago who had never been to the vet (let alone on a leash or on a walk). I needed to get him vaccinated asap, & I was very overwhelmed with adjusting to a puppy - they were able to quickly get him in & scheduled, & were so incredible with him. Faith & Madison at the front desk got him immediately calm (& honestly me as well - they played the role of my therapist when I was at a breaking point). Saddie & Dr. Lee were wonderful/patient/educational during his exam (& again, made me feel capable/confident). Faith has quickly become one of Kenobi’s favorite people - we walk by MyVet on our daily route, & after our first visit, she encouraged us to come in & say hi so he can keep associating it as a positive experience. He saw her on our walk today & immediately was tail wagging & full of excitement. Kenobi is my first dog on my own, & I couldn’t be happier to have chosen MyVet for his care.“
“Dr Cohen and his staff always have been great for our two fluff babies.Always honest, helpful and professional.I would recommend anyone who live close by to bring their pets here for annual or by annual checkups.“
“I have been going to this vet for 10 years. The staff are friendly and helpful. The building, with its updates, is clean and has a modern look. I absolutely love Dr. Bannow. She has been wonderful with all of the issues both of my dogs have had, such as cancer and arthritis. Dr. Bannow is extremely knowledgeable and skilled. She takes the time to explain everything. She is conservative and doesn't push extra stuff either. Additionally, Dr. Bannow is professional yet extremely personable. She really cares for you and your pet. I highly recommend her. I wouldn't go anywhere else. In fact, I drive 45 minutes just to see Dr. Bannow.“
“The care that we have received there has been exceptional. The staff is compassionate and skilled, and we always know that they truly care about us and our dog. They go above and beyond the call to help us when we need it most. I wouldn't take our pet anywhere else!“
“Dr Schnoor and the staff were very accommodating and helpful during my recent visit with my 6 year old Lab for his annual. Due to a limited budget, we needed to work within a certain $ limit. They made sure my dog got the care he needed within this budget. It is clear they are concerned about the well being of our precious non human companions first and foremost! If you are looking for an Animal Hospital in the area look no further this is clearly one of the best.“
“I've been going to Duke for a few years and most recently went to them to prepare for a move abroad. Dr. Coulombe was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive with all of my concerns when it came to traveling with my cat. Friendly staff, highly recommend!“
“Overall the staff and service are top notch as everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable for the 6 years I've been going here for my two cats. All of their recommendations and help have worked for the cats, which I'm very thankful for. The only knock would be that their prices have increased greatly over the last 1-2 years. It was 1k for lab, wellness visit and a vaccine for two senior cats.“
“Dr. Boin is conscientious with seasoned expertise and his staff are kind and detail oriented with clear attention to protocols. We had a recent scare with our dog and potential bladder cancer that was flagged after we took her to vist VEG on North Avenue for emergency care(urine in blood). The recommended follow-up urine test CADEF BRAF was botched by Old Town Animal Care who mishandle the sample and rendered it unreadable by the Lab; VEG stated incorrectly that they do conduct the test only to take our sample and tell us they did not have the relationship with the Lab. It was a stressful nightmare. Near North facilitated the urine test within a day(with detailed protocols for us) and we got the results within 2 days(not 2 weeks) -the follow-up ultrasound was scheduled within days and the results provided immediately after by Dr. Boin. Dr. Boin called numerous times to speak to me personally before and after the diagnosis. As a Behavioral Health Scientist, clinical professor and animal rights activists I have been alarmed at the lack of clear communication and attention to protocols we experienced elsewhere(e.g. sending us the health history of another dog with the same name; mishandling a urine sample, missing the signs of a ACL tear and taking only X-rays of hips, etc.). Animals do not speak our language and like pre-verbal children are dependent on humans. It is our responsibility to advocate for their care and safety. Dr. Boin explains in detail and compassionate candor that only comes with seasoned expertise. We are grateful for him and his staff and we know our pup is in safe hands there. “Very professional via phone. Have not been able to get an appointment, since they’re not taking any new patients right now but I will keep trying. They come highly recommended.“
“Nothing but great experiences here! They've treated all my pets with kindness and compassion.“
