“We had a 3 phase motor occasionally growling. Acting like the brake was on and motor trying to run. Very intermittent issue. When this issue occurred motor brake did have power to release brake. Bodine took motor back to Decatur and went thru motor. They replaced bearings and noticed the brake assembly was sitting crooked. They repaired this issue and has ran great ever since.
