My mom had hip surgery and Wishing Well Home Care was one of the local home care companies recommended in my mom's discharge packet. We met with representatives from about five companies and felt most comfortable with WWHC. We had never been in the market for a caregiver before and didn't even know what questions to ask. Peggy was very patient and a wealth of information during our initial meeting. She really knows her stuff! We met a number of caregivers and found a perfect fit for my mom, who was extremely hesitant about this whole process to begin with. Maggie is compassionate, reliable and feels like one of the family. She lives a couple of miles from my mom's home, so we are happy that she is nearby especially during these Chicago winters. “As my father aged his main goal was to remain in his home as long as possible. In order to help satisfy his request we knew it was time for 24/7 in-home help. We reached out to Touching Hearts and met with John. John assured us that they would be partners in the process and that he would find the best possible match for us. I found that to be spot-on If the match did not fit or we had other concerns he would find a suitable replacement. Over the course of 2 years we did request a few changes. John provided an immediate response and a new caregiver was provided. In the time we worked with Touching Hearts we were never left uncovered if one of the caregivers was ill or had a conflict. Communication was quick and the replacement provided. We reached a point where staying in the home was no longer possible but the transition provided by Touching Hearts provided us with the opportunity keep our dad in his house a few more years. John, Jeff and Sharon are extremely approachable and invested in their clients.“

“10/10 stars, Would recommend. I have been with them since February of ‘23 after 10 years of serving in a plethora of restaurants,and five years driving Uber/lyft. I was worried at first that the work wouldn’t agree with me, however this has become one of the few jobs I have had, where I actually look forward to the start of the work week, live in so Monday through Friday. I would literally get more stressed showing up to a 5-8 hour weekend restaurant serving shift, than I am currently when I show up on Monday morning, even knowing I won’t be home in my personal space until Saturday(120 hours@less stress than 8). If any part of you likes helping people, this job rocks and it will give you strength and energy it will NOT suck away your goodness. 10/10 stars would recommend.“

“I’ve worked for numerous contracting companies with the federal government and DHC has been the most professional of them all. Most project managers have little interaction with you, but the project manager for DHC was attentive and meet all of my requests.Their PTO policy is generous by giving you your pto at the beginning of the year instead of the end of the year. Also there was opportunities for overtime which is normally unheard of working for the government.“

Nancy and Gail took the time to explain options and respond quickly to what became a changing situation. The home health aides were all pleasant, competent, and respectful. They offered assistance as needed, and made the experience of being dependent less difficult. In particular Sophie went above and beyond to help identify solutions to problems, write up a care plan, and made getting help with bathing and personal care pleasant rather than embarrassing.“
