I also took a homebuyer education course through the Northside Community Development Corporation and I was very impressed with their services. As an educator myself, I felt like they have a great model for helping clients learn material and meet their goals. The course was a one day training that covered topics such as budgeting, credit, shopping for a home, purchase contracts, mortgage comparison, property taxes, and refinancing.
