Don has been cutting my hair for 45 years. Always friendly place but parking can be a challenge (thanks City of Chamaign for screwing up parking)
Anyway, when Don is not available, Dave Jr. Takes care of me. Great place!
Dave & Gene' Barbershop is where you can experience a haircut without distraction or hurry. Dave and Gene both welcome customers by name, ask about their families, & share a smile. If you're waiting your turn, you can read the paper or join in the conversation. And, yes, they are excellent barbers as well. Take a break from the day's bustle and step inside.
Great shop! Can be busy on the weekends, but rightfully so. They give a nice, even cut that ages well; a month later, it still looks good. Basically without saying so, they noticed my cowlick & adjusted the cut accordingly. The atmosphere is also one of an old-fashioned barbershop: a sort of town square, where a lot of people who come in have been regulars for awhile. Just know these guys tend to go shorter than longer, so if you're looking for something else, let them know. I think it comes from a traditionalist vision of a haircut.
