After the beautiful, warm weather on Monday, l don't think many of us were prepared for the cold, windy, drizzling rain that accompanied us to the cemetery. Ryan's sister-in-law, Amy, was sitting at the edge of the tent, and l observed a member of the funeral home staff quietly stand beside her to shield her from the elements. He also held the edge of the tent for the duration of the graveside part of the service so that the rainwater that was collected there would not fall on her. Instead, the rainwater fell on his shoulders all the while he held the edge of the tent. I thought this was a very compasionate act of kindness.“
