i was new to the area last year and needed to find who my new go-to hair stylist would be. Specifically I wanted to find a shop that's LGTBQIA+ friendly, and could handle "alternative" hairstyles (I'm a femme person who likes funky short haircuts). At first I was a bit dismayed that the only options when booking online were "mens" or "womens" haircuts, but really, all this means is how involved/complicated your haircut needs are. I've been coming to Olivia for a little while now for cut and color. but, Olivia and Mayra did my wedding party a couple of weeks ago and did such a beautiful job that I had to leave a review. Not only did they do exactly what everyone wanted and wished for, but they came in early on a Sunday just for us, and took their time and really paid special attention to all the details. They did everyone's hair, then Mayra did my make up. She made me feel beautiful on my special day. I cannot thank you enough.

I live in Joliet and have been coming since it opened. And Olivia has been doing my hair ever since I was little and she's honestly the only one that knows my hair and she knows exactly how I like it done even when I'm in the mood to change things up. I really do recommend roots and especially Olivia because she knows exactly what to do and how to help you! She's the only one I allow to actually do my hair in any type of way, even got my boyfriend and sister to come and even they said no one else is allowed to touch their hair except her.
