I have gone to the student health centre twice. I had really good experiences both times. I was able to set up appointments for the next day and later the same day I called, and I did not have to wait long to be seen. I was charged 10 dollars for one visit and didn't have to pay for the other. Overall I was very satisfied.
Went to the pharmacy to get help with a prescription, its pretty complicated as a veteran to get help and they spent over 30 minutes trying to help and got an actual VA rep on the phone and tried really hard. They really made me feel like a human and it made me feel special which is rare for me. Thank you!
Regarding the pharmacy:The staff are very helpful and polite, so that's a big plus. However, if you have the student health plan and need to use them for prescriptions to avoid ridiculous fees at other pharmacies, it's an absolute joke. The hours are so inconvenient if you work a job or attend school during the day. Additionally, the answering machine says to leave a message for prescription refills, then goes to the hold music and repeats. No opportunity to leave a message. Hours should fit that of a regular pharmacy and be open weekends and later in the day or early in the morning. During the summer there are 23.5 working hours available to pick up a prescription.
