Alameda Optical

Dr. Anderson is great, it’s the vision center that needs help in customer service and good business practices. I have been going to the Alameda Vision Center for over 10 years. This last time, they ordered lenses for my glasses and then called me to have them put it. I arrived and they installed the lenses. Then they tell me I have a balance left over from my exam that needed paid before I could leave with my glasses. I had already paid for the glasses in full after my appointment, but wanted to hold my glasses until I paid the balance. I told them they did not tell me off the balance when I made my appointment. They then asked if I would give them access to my bank account to withdraw the payment later. Any Dave Ramsey follower knows you never give free access to your bank account. Fortunately, I do keep a reserve fund and paid the bill. I will not be returning to the Vision center ever again and will not recommend them to anyone. But if you do use them, keep some extra money on you for when they spring surprise balances on you.
