I brought my cat, Sirius CatFish to Viking with him being blocked. They got him in right away as he was very painful. They worked with me, made sure that I was able to afford the treatment and kept my cat's best intentions in mind. Luckily I caught him being blocked early enough. Dr. Stephanie Permenter was amazing and Mindy and Dawn were very attentive to my cat's needs. Elena explained everything with clarity and understanding. Faith made sure she got a through history from me to make sure their plan was appropriate. If you need a clinic to make sure your pet is taken care of and followed through with, Chose Viking.
They were nice. Appreciate having an emergency vet. But 2 hours to be seen is hard. It's an emergency vet and I have no idea what was happening in the back. But I am the only one here. So... yeah 2 hours to even see a doctor seems too long, but it's a nice place and it was 7:30pm.
I recently brought my dog Vita in after hours because it was possible she had swallowed a sharp piece of broken plastic. After examining a sample of the plastic and noting Vita had no symptoms, the doctor recommended monitoring her vs taking a slew of X-rays and medication, and sent us home with instructions and without charging a dime. The next day, the missing plastic was found -- Vita hadn't swallowed it, and what could have been a costly visit would have been unnecessary. In addition to saving me loads of money, the staff was so warm, friendly, and kind. Mindy at the front desk took the time to pet and engage with my dog, and I'm so grateful for the care and consideration shown by everyone there. They even had coffee and tea available for the pet parents. And while I hope I never have reason to visit again, if I do, I can be sure my pup will be in lovely, caring hands.
