Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Being a 6 month beginner its sometimes intimidating going to a new place but everyone here made me feel like home. “I’ve been here since June 2022 (~1.5 years) and I really like what I am learning here. Sensei is really knowledgeable in the martial art and also the “lore” behind it. I did kajukenbo (a mixed martial art) for 3-4 years and I like this one better. I don’t like things that are very athletic, and this fits me really well. My fellow students are nice people and this dojo is a positive environment to learn and grow. Hopefully I’ll be here until I’m 18! Haha-LarsP.S. My old martial art didn’t plan the unit/lessons, so we just did whatever the instructor thought of. I really appreciate the planning into our lesson for the day/year.“
