This particular location is what this review is for and does not apply to other locations and other tax advisors employed by this company. I scheduled my appointment back in October 2020 to get my 2019 taxes filed. When I arrived, it seemed they were not prepared for my appointment and had to scramble around to find an available person to help me. I sat with someone for about 30 minutes going over everything and made sure they had all of the information needed. I was told that they would get working on it and would call me with an update. I only had W2 employment from 2 employers, mortgage interest write off and some write off expenses from a rental property I had sold, so I couldn't imagine there would be much trouble getting them done. A week went by and I hadn't heard anything but noticed I had an email (was expecting a call) asking me for more information. I responded with some questions and then didn't hear back again. A few weeks went by and didn't hear back. Finally shortly after I got another email (again, no phone call) from the person apologizing for the delay because they got Covid and have been out of commission and my file has just been sitting. I was told they would be back soon and would complete my taxes. A couple more weeks went by and still nothing. By this time, we are now in December. After multiple attempts to try and reach this person, I gave up. Now I am forced to find a new CPA and go through all of my stuff all over again, while at the same time having to do my 2020 taxes also, which cannot be filed until 2019s are filed. I am also receiving late and non filing penalties because of this particular H&R Block tax person. They made no serious effort to complete my filing and simply dropped the ball and forgot about me. I encourage everyone to find a different location as I do believe this company is still one of the better ones when it comes to getting taxes done.
