Western Idaho Dental Clinic is a dental practice that has received mixed reviews. According to the reviews, Dr. Martsch, the dentist at the clinic, is described as "amazing" and has been able to make patients, including those with a fear of dentists, feel comfortable and at ease during their visits. However, one patient had a negative experience with extractions, where they had exposed bone that cut their tongue for weeks, and they experienced numbness in their tongue after a nerve was hit during the numbing process. The patient felt they were not properly numbed, despite telling the staff they were not numb. In contrast, the patient's second visit for extractions was described as "much smoother." Additionally, the clinic requires patients to sign a waiver stating that they cannot sue the clinic even if something goes wrong during their treatment.
Dr. Martsch is AMAZING! Any experience I've had with him have been wonderful. My husband has had a terrible fear of dentists stemming from a horrible experience as a small child and Dr. Martsch made sure he was comfortable and at ease before he started working on his teeth. Same goes for my MIL when she had her teeth removed for her dentures.
Dr Martsch did extractions for me twice. I would consider one visit the worst extractions experience ever. The other, the absolute best.
The bad one, i had exposed bone that cut my tongue badly for weeks. It finally broke off and migrated out. The stitches were expected to be left for a month. I have numbness still in my tongue after a nerve in my face was hit during administration of numbing.
I kept telling them i wasn't numb but they assured me i was.
The 2nd time was much smoother.
Plus you sign a waiver pretty much saying even if something goes wrong they aren't liable and you can't sue em.
