Where do I begin? King Hardwood refinished my 72-year old red oak floors (that had been painted :/ ) last week and they are gorgeous! Mike is extremely knowledgeable and has an extensive history in high-end refinishing. His crew, Scott (a life-long buddy, and Dawson, his son) were utterly respectful of my home — and my pets. There was a 2x4 patch needed, and Scott went out of his way to match the rustic charm of my old floors. Dawson? Well, he's the quiet one but his sanding and filling skills are spot on! All three went out of their way to work quickly and Mike even made an early morning weekend visit to apply the top coat by hand so I could move back in before the work week started. We chose Mike because he and his crew genuinely get their geek on over the intricacies of restoration. Ask Mike to show you his portfolio; it's got amazing examples. Cost was reasonable, falling in the middle of three quotes and well worth it for quality work. All I can say is ....hire these guys! Their craftsmanship and passion for their work can't be beat!
