As the mother of an Iraq War veteran, and retired teacher who had hundreds of veterans at Hawkeye Community College, I have a big heart for veterans. AFIL is doing a great job of helping people. We have donated twice and have been so impressed with the friendly and hard working crews.

From Americans For Independent Living

We assist veterans in need! We do this through 2 transitional houses, to help a homeless veteran get back on their feet and into their own home. Furniture for Veterans, house hold furnishings are given to a homeless veterans that is housed by other agencies for free. We also do Home Modifications for those veterans that have accessibility issues in their own home.
