I had a great experience bringing my dog, Sosa, in for his regular vaccines. Dr. Matt Samuelson and vet tech Cristal were incredibly patient and gentle with him, especially since he gets very nervous at the vet. They didn’t just rush through the appointment — they took the time to address other issues he’s been dealing with and gave me really helpful, practical advice. I also appreciated that they offered multiple options in case the initial solutions didn’t work and encouraged me to come back if Sosa needed more support. This team is the real deal. Compassionate, smart, and willing to work hard. I am a vet in another part of the state and always recommend SAH to my Sioux City family and friends because of the excellent care they provide.
Dr J. Samuelson, her assistant, and the front desk manager went above and beyond to assist my husband’s mother and step dad with the grueling task of euthanizing their beloved 15 year old dog, Josie. Time was of the essence and the front desk manager/secretary (my apologies as I cannot recall her name ) who answered the phone was one of the sweetest, most kindest, most patient person I have spoken with a very long time! I am certain she was busy with other tasks, but she treated me as though I was her top priority.
