Changing dentists after many years wasn’t something I'd planned, but I’m genuinely glad I moved my care to Furrow Family Dentistry. I’ve known and admired Derek Furrow since he and my daughter were in show choir together, so I expected a good experience. What stood out was the straightforward approach: no upselling, no pressure. Cosmetic dental services are available, but they’re offered without a hard sell, which makes me far more likely to consider them down the road. (And the office is located very near my office - another plus.) When addressing an issue, Derek recommended a $507 fix that made sense, rather than the multi-thousand-dollar option my previous office pushed. Derek and his team also include a thorough oral cancer screening at every visit, which, having had a head/neck cancer, I appreciated. If you’re looking for a skilled, honest, straightforward, and kind dental provider and team in the Johnston/Urbandale area, please consider Derek Furrow. I wish I’d made the switch sooner.

The switch over from Dr. Swett to Furrow Family seems to have been smooth as could be. Dr. Emily welcomed me in with open arms as a new patient. She made sure I was comfortable and explained each step of what she was doing. I highly recommend Furrow Family Dentistry!
