“After the recent derecho event in Iowa City, 30 feet of the main trunk stem of a maple in our backyard wedged between two birches closer to the house as it fell before ending up resting on our roof. It was still attached to the maple about 15 feet above the ground. We were lucky there was no penetration by any branches. I contacted General Tree Services and the next morning Mick showed up to look the situation over. Mick and Junior came back about 1 PM with their bucket and wood chipper. In less than three hours and with some great rope work, the tree was completely removed with no damage to the house, the wood was chipped, and the area was cleaned perfectly. My wife and I watched the whole operation and were duly impressed with both their speed and care. I heartedly recommend General Tree Service for their abilities and their fair pricing.
