I began my search and today, I am over the moon happy with my hair cut and style!! Ashley welcomed me warmly, listened intently and gave advice based on my hair type. “I have gone to Denise for many years. This week I went in for a cut and color and asked her about trying a new style. She did some searching and found something we both thought would work for me (face shape, styling skill, lifestyle etc). She spent a lot of time trimming to get just the right shape and then showed me how to blow dry and style it on my own. She explained all about how to use styling products. I really like my new hairstyle and can do it myself. She loves the creative aspects of cutting and styling hair. “Jaclyn at Virtue is simply the copper/red tones expert. She always talks my appointments out with me before starting, asking questions to confirm what it is I want even if it's the same thing I got the last six appointments.

She makes suggestions and clarifying statements in case things need tweaked (i.e. adding babylights if your roots are grown out a decent amount to create a better balance overall, etc.), and she nails it every time.

Additionally, Virtue itself is beautiful! It always smells good (not super chemical scented), fantastic natural lighting, beverages offered as soon as you're greeted, and throughout your appointment, other stylists compliment your hair as you're leaving, etc.

Overall, I truly love this salon and my forever hair girl, Jaclyn. Give this place a shot if you're looking for a new salon and specifically Jaclyn if you're looking for that perfect copper/red tone!“

“I was in dire need of a haircut, but I didn't want to go to a run-of-the-mill barber. After perusing through the available salons around me, I came across Casey's salon. I'm not a native Iowan, so this was definitely a shot in the dark. Setting up an appointment online was effortless. Casey was able to decipher what I wanted with little input from me. The price is a little steep, but the service is arguably worth every penny.
