MY HCG JOURNEY February 20, 2013 and 250.9 pounds! Here I was, 62, diabetic and my health was declining. I know I had to lose weight but with at least 100 pounds to lose, that mountain was insurmountable. I was at the stage that my diabetic medications were just one step away from having to take insulin. Walking was beginning to be untenable because of pain in my right hip, my balance was getting very precarious and having to wear size 2X clothing, I looked disgusting. When I was young, I vowed that I was NEVER going to get fat like my grandmothers, but here I was, FAT, just like them! I had kept my weight down to 130 up until I had a complete hysterectomy and the pounds began piling on. I was devastated and demoralized that I had broken the vow to myself and I had no inner strength to begin the diet and exercise needed to lose the weight. One evening, my dear friend living in NYC called me to tell me about the HCG she was taking and the weight was rolling off with no side effects. She invited me to come to New York for a month so I could do the HCG protocol with her so I could get a start with weight loss. But leaving my husband for a month was not an option for me so I declined her generous offer. I was left to carry on with no hope. Until- My friend had returned to Iowa and had discovered HCG available in Des Moines. She invited me to undergo the Protocol with her and I jumped at the chance! I knew HCG worked because she was living proof. July 29, 2013, end of second round of oral HCG Protocol: I am 60 pounds lighter and I am on the path of recovery, reclaiming a normal body and regaining my health. My right hip pain is gone. My balance is returning. My diabetes meds have been cut down to just one and my Primary Dr. is ecstatic for my weight loss. He predicts that I could be able to drop the last diabetes medication with further weight loss and favorable A1C readings. I no longer need my husband's help getting me out of a chair and restaurant tables. My energy is increasing and I can cross my legs again! Best of all, I have never felt ravishingly hungry on the 500 cal. per day of the 42 days of Phase 1 of the Protocol. Once on the Maintenance Phase, I have used the South Beach Diet guidelines for daily meals. The elimination of sugar and "starchy" carbs ceased being a painful restriction. The good carbohydrates are the perfect fiber, vitamins and minerals for good nutrition and keeps me completely satisfied because of the satiety assets of those foods. If I feel like I am getting hungry between scheduled meals, I reach for an apple and that does the trick, I'm fine and well within my proper calorie intake for the day. In fact, I find that I have no need to eat more than 1,000 calories a day since I'm completely "full" and experience no urgent hunger with 1,000 calorie intake per day. I'm without hunger and still losing weight! I have 40-50 pounds to lose to reach my healthy weight of 130-140 pounds. I project my target weight goal will be realized in October or November with one last round of HCG Protocol and use of the South Beach Diet for "maintenance and life" phases. I have every confidence my goal will be accomplished. I look forward to seeing my body as vibrant, healthy and attractive again. I want to reshape my body with the Kathy Smith exercise routines to accomplish that, given my increased energy capacity. I look forward to playing my harp in public and meeting art commission clients without feeling ashamed of my appearance. I am indebted to my dear friend for caring for me enough to direct me to this program. I thank the Good Lord for sending me on this path so I may again be the person He always wanted me to be. Jane
