“Had our condenser catch fire Aug 27th, 2024 (one of the hottest days on record). Found A1 on google the next morning and gave them a call. Their rep, Berry, was onsite first thing in the morning and took a look at our situation. He pointed out the long standing issues with getting cold air up the the 2nd story, and provided multiple solutions to fix our air and address the issues.

The price came in at a fair competitive price and the very next morning his team completed the AC replacement. Berry’s suggestions were spot on for 2nd story cooling as well, with the new AC unit it runs a bit longer, but cool air actually makes it to the 2nd story now.

“Within a hour of posting a service request online, Jamie was at my house to look at my non-functioning furnace. Upon diagnosis, he had to drive to Rock Island to get a necessary part. Within two hours the furnace was up and running. Unfortunately, the carbon monoxide levels on my 27 year old furnace were too high. I am able to get a service call tomorrow for a replacement. Not the best of news, but I'm glad I'll have heat since the nighttime temps are going to be below freezing the next couple of days. Response to my call was quick and the price for the initial call out is reasonable and well worth having a functioning furnace again!“

“Bob and his crew are absolutely amazing. I spoke with Bob on a Thursday after being without plumbing for 4 days. I spoke to a few companies prior and had an appointment set for the following Tuesday just to take a look because that was the earliest I thought I could have anyone there. When Bob reached out he said “no, we can be there Friday with the camera to get a look at what we’re dealing with and be back on Monday to start work. This is an emergency”. By Friday mid day he had someone here setting barrels in the front yard to block off the street for when they start work. Bob and Zack were both friendly, caring and very clear on what they were doing throughout the whole process. I will be honest, before this happened, I had never heard of Tappendorf Plumbing but they have a customer for life.
