Went for a physical. Physically fine nurse practitioner couldn't even do that satisfactory. For my needs for new employment. Whatever you do no Small Talk they will add that in on your physical.
I had been a patient there for over three years with excellent care when the one receptionist became mad at me for unknown reasons because I was forced to cancell one appointment bevause my ride never showed. As a handicap individual, I am reliant on others for transportation and don't readily know hours ahead of time if one will cancel. I explained this to them when I first became their patient. She proceeded to only give me appointments months away for urgent problems and twice, when I actually showed up an hour early, she told me my appointment had been cancelled..not by ME! My last appointment she pulled the same garbage and said the doctor wasn't even there.......I say her, myself, in the back!. I then received a letter saying I was no longer allowed as a patient because I had cancelled these last two appointments ..the ones I WAS THERE FOR. It's a shame that excellent doctors are ruled by such an unprofessional discriminating desk aide!
Just moved back to my hometown after a month in the hospital and a new diagnosis that will keep me out of work for awhile. I have been searching for a primary care physician DESPERATELY for the last month. I keep getting turned away from doctors who claim to be accepting new patients because I am already sick with a chronic illness. Guess who owns all of the practices in this area? Even so, Genesis tells me their hands are tied. If you're looking for a doctor and you AREN'T sick, by all means, check out a Genesis-owned practice. If, like me, your health is less than stellar, I recommend the Intermountain Healthcare System out of Salt Lake City, UT. Too bad about the commute. This endless search, having to 'apply' over and over to be seen by a doctor willing to take my money and refill my prescriptions, only to be rejected time and again, has been both demeaning and demoralizing.
