I went to a consult appointment with Taija at The Industry and she instantly cured my blues. I made an appointment that day and had a two row install completed. I’m completely obsessed with my hair but mostly the confidence it has brought me. I feel feminine and pretty and I’m hooked! Taija is fun, down to earth, caring and very professional. I highly recommend her to any and everyone that I know looking for a cut, color, style or extensions.

Katie Gogel is one of the most amazing hair stylists I have ever had style my hair and I wish I would’ve thought to leave a review sooner. Over a year ago I made the mistake of trying to bleach my own hair which inevitably made a ton of it fall out and break off. I made the decision to go to a professional fully expecting to be judged for my mistake, instead I was met with an enormous amount of sympathy for my situation and an eagerness to do whatever she could to help me fix it and gain my confidence back. She completely transformed my hair and gave me tips to help grow it out again. Flash forward to today, my hair has grown back and she continues to wow me every time she does my extensions/coloring/and styling. Not to mention she just has a great personality, I couldn’t recommend her enough! She’s a hair guru.

Everyone working there was patient with me, making sure to stop and address any concerns I had. She had the forethought to ask what I wanted my hair to look like. She is a master at the art of human connection-she could feel my sensitive areas without me uttering a word. She is patient and showed compassion to my children when they got antsy waiting for me. I was in dire need of a haircut, but I didn't want to go to a run-of-the-mill barber. After perusing through the available salons around me, I came across Casey's salon. I'm not a native Iowan, so this was definitely a shot in the dark. Setting up an appointment online was effortless. Casey was able to decipher what I wanted with little input from me. The price is a little steep, but the service is arguably worth every penny.

I have not gone to a barber shop for over 8 years. Every time I go somewhere there are always mistakes and I had to fix it at home so after getting sick of it I started to cut my hair for the past 8 years. Today (04/05/2023) I decided to go and get a professional cut. I googled this place and decided to give it a go after reading previous 3 reviews. Honestly I can not remember when did I get a haircut last time that I was happy with. The barber, Zoe, who cut my hair was superb! I have never seen someone to pay such a close attention to every little detail. I feel like he was taking care of every single hair on my head individually. It was not rushed at all. My haircut (relatively short hair to begin with) took no less than one hour! I did have shave too! He said he has over 11 years of experience and after my cut I totally believe it. The best part was the whole day at work I was getting compliments left and right. Crazy! I will totally go back again. If you are looking for new barber you definitely should give these guys a try. Fyi the place itself could use a touch or two and if you judge the place on the looks you might feel you wanna go somewhere else but I guarantee you that the job these guys are doing is upscale for sure. In my personal view I think they undercharge their work! My shave and haircut was 35$ but for the job they did and how happy I was with work I would totally pay even 100$ for the cut. Just no words! Took my friend Larry to Head 2 Toe Barbershop.His haircut is a 10. His mustache is lined perfect. This a business with professional barbers.
Porschia was literally the first barber who followed exactly what I want. I have sort of medium length or longer hair and he made sure to clean up what I asked but keep the same length and not got too short. This was one of the first times I walked away from the chair feeling good about my haircut afterwards right away.
The most noticeable difference from other barbers I’ve had is how friendly it is for people with medium/longer hair. Most barbers run it too short because that’s what they are comfortable with, but I would come back and trust porchia with my longer hair style.
He didn’t do more than he was asked, and when I noticed something I thought could use more work, he was willing to oblige.

I absolutely loved Bare Tones! I lived in Phoenix for many years so I got used to their spray tan style out there (drying powder, customized colors, complimentary fragrance, & hydration spray). Bare Tones has all of those same things as well as the newest updates with tanning placement & style. I got this done for my wedding and it looked completely natural. It was not orange at all which was unusual in my experience with getting spray tans in Iowa. I would highly recommend this place.
Bree is absolutely amazing! She was so kind to take my friend and I last minute. She was thorough and made sure we loved our tans before we left. I will definitely be back because of our experience with her!

This place is INCREDIBLE! They're so friendly, the nails are BOMB (I always get stilettos and lots of designs). The cherry on top was that it was SO affordable, I even got one of the specialty pedicures and left feeling so pampered.
I had the best pedicure hands down that I’ve ever had with Yen (hoping I spelled her name right)!! She was thorough, gentle and very sweet. She made sure the width of my french tip was the way that I liked it which I appreciate! I paid over $80 for my gel pedicure but I think it was worth it. The service took about an hour and they got my right in. ?
I highly recommend The Nail Shop! All of the technicians are friendly and knowledgeable. I have never had a problem with my nails in any way and the designs are phenomenal! Love them!

Jaclyn at Virtue is simply the copper/red tones expert. She always talks my appointments out with me before starting, asking questions to confirm what it is I want even if it's the same thing I got the last six appointments.
She makes suggestions and clarifying statements in case things need tweaked (i.e. adding babylights if your roots are grown out a decent amount to create a better balance overall, etc.), and she nails it every time.
Additionally, Virtue itself is beautiful! It always smells good (not super chemical scented), fantastic natural lighting, beverages offered as soon as you're greeted, and throughout your appointment, other stylists compliment your hair as you're leaving, etc.
Overall, I truly love this salon and my forever hair girl, Jaclyn. Give this place a shot if you're looking for a new salon and specifically Jaclyn if you're looking for that perfect copper/red tone!

Josh is amazing!! I wanted to get something special for my first tattoo to honor my late wife, who battled breast cancer for 19 years. Gene is amazing my mother and father passed away in 2018 and my husband got me a gift certificate to get a tattoo so I went to him and explained what I wanted and he drew it out perfectly I have had so many compliments on my tattoo and memory of my parents I highly highly recommend him to everybody. We have been using Miller Plumbing for 10 years. Chad and Joe are solid guys. Chad offers a wealth of information, does a satisfactory job every time, and we never have any issues with any of his work. He's installed a water heater, water line to the fridge, installed a disposal, fixed incorrect plumbing, unclogged bathtubs and toilets, installed new shower fixtures, and toilet parts. The list goes on.....they are the only contractors we fully trust in Cedar Rapids. We wish they did everything else besides plumbing.
I called Valenta after experiencing a frozen pipe that split and leaked quite a bit of water into our downstairs when we turned on the outdoor faucet for the first time since winter. Dalton was at our house in about an hour. He was courteous and polite, and really did a great job. The outdoor faucet was replaced, a new shut off valve was installed to help with winterizing - all in less than an hour! Thanks, Dalton!

I went here to get a new belt for my Maytag dryer and the guy who waited on me had the belt but it was $80 so he started asking questions as to why I think I need a belt and when I told him that it makes a squealing noise when I first turn it on but then goes away . He told me that he was sure that the tension pulley was bad and that cost me $20 and he even gave me a small amount of high speed lube to lubricant the drive pulleys . That solved my noise problem and you guys now have a customer for life. Thank you so much for the excellent service!

AMAZING! If you don’t want to take the time to read this whole review, know this: Ryan and his crew are amazing and they do beyond great work. Ryan and his crew were courteous, polite, respectful, hard working and most importantly honest. My husband and I recently purchased a new home and wanted our carpets and ducts cleaned before we moved in. We called Eastern Iowa Carpet Care. Ryan fit us in without a problem on short notice. He showed up on time, dressed professionally and it was obvious he knew what he was doing. We had a few other people in the house doing work and Ryan went out of his way to make things smooth for them but more importantly for me. Now comes THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. After Ryan got everything set up to start cleaning the air ducts, he began to open the cold air returns and noticed they had obviously recently been cleaned. He stopped the work and came to find me to show me how clean the ducts were. He then told me, “I am more than happy to clean these if you’d like but I feel like if I do I am just stealing your money.” THATS RIGHT HE WAS HONEST AND DID NOT SELL ME A SERVICE I DID NOT NEED. I thanked him for his honesty and we decided to not have them cleaned. He then lugged all the tools back out to the truck and did not charge me even a penny for the time he had just spent for set up and tear down. As for the carpet cleaning, it was great! We are very happy with how our semi-aged carpet looks after a nice cleaning. Most importantly, the level of service was unmatched 10/10. Addam came to our home the next day & measured for our 3 rooms. The flooring was back ordered so we had to wait a bit longer but it’s so worth it! Addam was a great communicator thru the whole process. Bryan, our installer, was phenomenal! His attention to detail in making the pattern of the colors & grain was top notch! The plumber & carpet guys also completed their work very well. We needed an exterior door put into our mudroom and John was recommended by a family friend. The before and after pictures say it all! Zack and his crew knocked this project out of the park. We brought All Seasons construction in initially for a second estimate. But, by the time Zack left we knew we wanted him for this job. He presented a whole next level of ideas and plans for our screen porch. Much better than we could have imagined. He had a vision for what the space could be that we had not even imagined. Even better, his estimate was very competitive considering how much more they planned to do. His subcontracted crew led by Brian and Serenity Windows was next level. Their attention to detail and quality of work was unmatched.

Overall, they successfully put insulation in my attic, so they might be worth a call to get an estimate. Based on my experience, if I have future insulation work, I will probably get an estimate from them, but I won't give Energy Nerds preference if any other place is comparable.For reference, my work was to add insulation to my attic.Cost: They were within about $100 of the other place that I called, so they were at least competitive. When I priced out the insulation cost from the local hardware store, the price from Energy Nerds was about 2x - 3x the cost of the insulation. After the federal insulation rebates and accounting for my time, it looked like it was still worth it to have have a contractor do it.Service: Matt was super-nice when I called to ask why he wasn't at the appointment when I might have had the day wrong, and was willing to answer all of the questions I had regarding the insulation installation.The installers managed to show up an hour after their two hour arrival window. Otherwise, they seem friendly enough and knowledgeable about their job.When I went in the attic to verify the work, it looked like they got the appropriate amount of insulation in there. I can't see the ventilation to confirm if that was correct, though.Other notes: Unfortunately, when they went to install the insulation, they found that my soffits were block with insulation and gave an estimate to clear the insulation from the perimeter of my attic. I can accept that unexpected things may happen, so I went forward with it, even though the cost was about +15% of the original cost after the federal insulation rebate.After I accepted the updated estimate, I found out a couple of things:- They only put the vents in between every other pair of rafters, so they would have to clear only half the perimeter, which made their basis of estimate that they put on the updated bill about 50% off.- The installer didn't even remove the portion that blocked the soffits from the attic and dispose of it - they just moved it out of the way.I can accept that I agreed to pay the extra amount, but they itemized removing a certain amount of insulation on the bill, which as far as I can tell, was not work that they completely performed. I feel like they might have misrepresented that portion of the work, which is why I would prefer another company if I have any other insulation work don in the future.

The ABC team worked with my insurance company to secure payments for the replacement of my roof, siding, and gutters after significant storm damage. Owner, Eric, then promptly called me, listened to my issue, and gave me his expert advice. A few texts back and forth, confirmation on my issue, and a plan to move forward that didn't even involve an exterminator at this time. They removed a large tree between our house and the neighbor. Layed it down perfectly, didn't harm a single plant or bush, cleaned up meticulously and ground the stump. We have had them trim and remove trees for years and always had fair prices and great work. Never a problem.

Excellent care of my issue. Dr. Walker greeted shortly after my arrival. After seated in the dental chair he questioned me regarding my problem. He looked over the area as came to a conclusion of what was needed to alleviate the problem.
Very relaxing while performing service of tooth extraction. Dr. Walker and his assistant were very pleasant while taking care of my issue. While performing extraction, Dr. Walker kept me verbally apprised of what was occurring. He used distractive verbal techniques when performing possible painful issues.
Dr. Walker ensured I had enough numbing so that the extraction location was not in any pain whatsoever.
Pain medication and infection prevention medication was provided along with detailed instructions by both him and his assistant.
I would recommend his services with great persuasion.

No one likes going to the dentist, but my experience with Family Smile Care Center has been great. Being the type of patient with major anxiety going to the dentist due to past dental trauma experiences, this place makes it a point to make sure you are comfortable. They even have adaptors for your devices if you want to listen to your music while you are getting work done. Even gave me a blanket to make sure I was comfortable. Dental Hygienist, Jessy, was awesome at being patient and gentle with my procedure. Has a great upbeat personality.
SUGGESTION: The only thing I would suggest from Family Smile Care Center is having posters on the ceiling of things like hidden objects, Where's Waldo, and things of that nature to entertain your Patients and help give them a distraction. You can only read an advertisement or a motivational poster so many times before you start counting the divots in the ceiling tiles to help as a distraction while someone is jabbing metal instruments into your mouth.
The staff is always so caring and considerate. They give detailed explanations of what future dental work may be needed without a hard-sell technique. So glad I chose them!

Definitely recommend Zmoos chiropractic. I have put off going to the chiropractor for a long while as I liked my old one a lot but his hours didn’t work with my schedule. I tried others in between but never found oneI liked. My muscles are incredibly tense so often adjustments never did much as I was to tenses. My Shepadoodle had two spots on his leg that he had been licking and biting until they bled. My vet’s office just does well care visits and had no opening for a few weeks, really! The week before I took his sister to the emergency clinic out by the airport for a cut. I paid more than $700 to have it treated, ridiculous. So, I had to find a vet that could treat him as a non-emergency. Heartland did a great job. He had been there before and they got him in right away and examined him. We left with the medication all for less than $100. Great place to bring your pets.

Our old boarder closed so had to find new “vacation” home for our Odie! I have known Gayle for many years and was thinking she had added boarding to grooming services. When I asked our old groomer/boarder if the had any suggestions there was no hesitation-Gayle (and staff!) at Pawsitively Devine! Our Odie came home happy and was nice to be given information about his stay! Very happy to have a trusted place to leave our boy!

I've been a yogi for nearly four decades, mainly in my own home. I attended Yoga for POC this afternoon and it was a truly chill experience. The instructor was kind and professional, making sure each of us (roughly 15 in all) were comfortable in the space. At the end, each of us were offered free passes to future classes. Cannot wait to come back!

I have been very impressed with the PT staff at RCPT. I had the good fortune to have Kris help me rehab from PRP in my hip. He inspired me to work hard to get the needed strength back in my hip and also worked to get my ankle more mobility. He was able to see that my my ankle was part of my hip problem. I credit my success to his ability to put things together and come up with a plan. He was professional, caring and his detail to doing the exercises correctly helped me to successfully recover.
