I am so glad I found Studio 20! Travis is a very skilled and professional stylist who pays attention to the needs of the customer as well as the needs of the customer's hair health and type.
This place is awesome! Current circumstances: The COVID-19 protocols here really make you feel safe while getting a hair cut: they sanitize between each customer, only you and the hair stylist in the room at one time, hand sanitized upon entering, stylist wore a medical grade N95 mask and a face shield during the cut and at the end of the day they use UV on indoor surfaces. My mother went to another salon who didn't even wear a mask! Come here for your COVID cut! The cut: I had Erin as my stylist. I went from a bob to a short pixie. An important part of the hair cut experience for me is the chit chat, and she was a natural, it really was a great experience. The cherry on top: my hair laid differently after it got use to the shortness and felt a little bulky in one spot, so I called her and she fit me in that day to fix it and I have the perfect hair cut!
A person in a local FB group recommended Travis when I asked the group who to take my 11yo daughter to for the look she wanted. My daughter had a TON of long, thick, curly hair...and wanted to get a pixie cut. This was such a dramatic change and I was afraid it wouldn't go well if I didn't take her to a hairdresser who was a good match. I first needed to make sure the cut was even possible with her hair type. I emailed the studio some photos of my daughter's hair and her desired outcome, and Travis consulted with me over the phone. It sounded like it could work if she got an undercut, so I made her an appointment. Her cut turned out so good! Thanks to his guidance and expertise, she was able to get the end result she was hoping for. My older daughter then went in to get her long hair layered, and it turned out great, too. Unfortunately the pandemic closures meant that my newly-pixied daughter didn't have a chance to get back in again for four months. But when she did, WOW was I impressed by the protocols he has in place to minimize virus transmission risk. He takes one client at a time, sends very clear advance step-by-step description of what to do, starting from you walk up to the store and he opens the door, you enter and use the sanitizer, you are masked, he wears a mask and shield, he sanitizes everything touched, etc. I felt like he had thought every last thing through and it felt VERY safe.
