1528 Makaloa St, Honolulu“Late review!! I've seen Kathy only 2 times so far, but I can tell she is one of the best in town. Prices are reasonable compared to other salons in the area. She has an amazing personality, and does a great job at cutting and coloring.
Kathy takes the time to examine your hair before moving forward with anything and I love how the final results show up on my hair. My brown hair color matches my skin tone very well! Highly recommend if you are in town near Ala Moana and need a hair cut and/or color.
Requested style: Requested long layers and a medium brown hair color.“

579 Farrington Hwy #91, Kapolei“Very impressed, the staff and setup at this hair salon was very professional. My stylist at this salon was Nani, and she was great. Loved the service and was very welcoming, I came in to get my first perm (male) and was impressed with the ending result. Thumbs up for me“
“Always nervous about finding someone who can handle natural curls and cuts. But definitely took time to take care of my curls and consider how I prefer to style and how to administer the cut and trim. This review is Long over due ! And will be booking soon again for another trim !“

205 Lewers St, Honolulu“Daniel took care of my elderly mom for a haircut, not only did it turn out beautiful, the conversation and Visit was so nice and pleasant. This is definitely a business that is much needed for elderly that can't walk far or have means of travel. So thankful for Daniel, we will definitely be seeing him again.“
“Go check out Patrick, you will love your hair. He did a great job and had good conversation. I went to get healthy start treatment. Trying to start my new year off right. With protecting my hair when wearing protective styles. He gave me good recommendations. Patrick even told me that if you're a service member with alopecia that the VA will pay for your wigs. Which I had no idea and I been buying wigs out of pocket. I had an appointment and he started on my hair within 10mins of me waiting. I did a wash, deep condition, steam, trim and braid down for $120. The vibes were good. Everyone was nice and friendly. He doesn't braid tight so you don't have to worry about no headaches. So if you're tender headed you will love him even more. Patrick does it all. In addition to styling he sales hair, does lashes and makes wigs. I will be returning. Thank you Patrick. Happy New Years! Follow him on IG @patrickdidmyhair and @patrickdidmyhairllc“

They offer quality hair products. I even bought a hair dryer from him in a cheaper price compare to other merchant. Come see him located in festival market waipahu. Plenty parking.“

Dadasalon, chair #13, 410 Atkinson Dr 3rd Floor, Honolulu“Emily really knows her hair. She takes alot of time understanding your hair and explaining how your hair lays and best way to cut and maintain. Though, at $100 for a basic hair cut, and $80 for beard trim, razor shave and facial. Throw in a 25% tip and you're looking at over $225 + tax before getting out of there. She's a lot of fun, and she's worth the money, but unfortunately, I'll only be able to enjoy this luxury on special occasions.“

94-799 Lumiaina St #2E, Waipahu“She's the most friendliest, knowledgeable and best hairstylist I ever met in my life. Although I have no idea what I want, Carille takes the time to get some ideas. I have long, thick, wavy hair but I trust her and love stepping outside the comfort zone. I met Carille back in Waipio & will go wherever she's at. I enjoy the movie star experience! When she busts out her phone for IG content, I feel like Princess Mia (The Princess Diaries) before and after scene. Thank you again Carille for your therapeutic & amazing results!! Here's a few pics from previous services.“

918 Smith St #5123, Honolulu“After going blonde for sooo many years, I finally made the decision to change it up and take my chance on going dark cherry. I put all my trust into Liv and she went absolutely above and beyond. Liv knew how skeptical I was in the beginning so we worked our way slowly, step by step, before I was able to fully commit. I love it! I wish I did this sooner... She is absolutely talented and I always look forward to being in her chair. No one else I'd trust with my hair needs. Look good, Feel good. Thank you Liv!“

Over the course of two days they did makeup and hair for me & the moms for welcome reception and wedding celebration, and I loved how both days the makeup and hair were different. Our makeup lasted FOREVER.
Their style is suitable for Asian brides who want a natural glowy look. Everything was perfection. I cannot recommend them enough.“

1145 Maunakea St # 3, Honolulu“The owner Rattiya's is so nice I called at 0800am before they are opened and she said she can take me in at 1000. I arrived 30 minutes early and she still sees me anyway. I came in with grown out black roots and bleach highlights thru out so it was a mess. I showed her what I want my hair to look like, was a lighter brown tone . She dyed my hair twice and cut it too and worked on me for like 2 hours and 45 minutes and only charged 156 what a steal. Highly recommends anyone if you look for an affordable hair cut and style. She does take walk in but get booked pretty fast so I recommends calling ahead for an appointment!“

1413 S King St Suite 206, Honolulu“I wanted a change, I wanted fuller hair so I searched for a hair extension company on Google, and Tonia's place came up as being right down the hall from my massage therapy practice.I was able to make an appointment with her and in a few days I was in for a consultation. She knew exactly what I needed and was able to match my long wavy hair with one of her many sample swatches. She had so many swatches with different textures, and color options. My hair is not only an unusual shade of brown, it also has a different type of wave to it. It’s very long, not curly necessarily, it’s fine and it’s neutral in color. She suggested I purchase 3 wefts so I did. They arrived quickly and she set me up with an appointment soon after.Tonia is patient and explains things thoroughly. She is clearly concerned about customers and not just there to make money, or to rush clients. The hair I have as my extensions is absolutely top quality. I can use heat on it and style it just like my own hair. The type of hair that she puts in is attached with a crimp. I prefer my crimps to be close to my scalp. This makes it feel tighter in the beginning because there isn’t much space but I don’t mind as it feels very secure. Some may prefer to have a little gap, I’m guessing about an eighth of an inch or so but that seems like a personal preference.Tonia is easy going and has a comfortable calm energy about her. She is a joy to talk to, and I always feel like I had a great therapy session when I walk out.I feel that my extensions have reversed my age by at least 5 to 7 years. When I tell people that I have extensions, they cannot believe it. Of course, isn’t that how it should be?Having them moved up or removed and put back in are the 2 methods offered and she will explain those options with you. I have them done about every 6 to 8 weeks. How frequently you do it is your preference but this is what I've found to work for me.Some might consider these extensions, high maintenance, but I don’t consider that at all. They do take some getting used to but nothing major. I'm able to I wear my hair up or down and in different styles. They work great no matter what. I work out with and wash them too. My hair is very long. I have 22” wefts and they are absolutely wonderful. Some pieces do fall out from time to time, but there’s so much hair that it’s not noticeable. Tonia explained that it’s normal to lose some. I only ever lose a few pieces, but I keep them because all of the hair you purchase is real human hair and can be reused. Perhaps they could get old and become not usable, but that has not happened and I’ve had mine move up or removed and replaced at least 5 times.Parking is convenient behind the building and making appointment with her is a breeze. If you search for hair extensions on Oahu, you will not find a better price and I don’t believe that you will find anyone who cares as much as Tonia does.As someone who has had three decades of customer service experience, someone who has won awards in customer service and outside sales, someone with a successful professional massage therapy business, I could not recommend her more. You will absolutely love her.“

94-333 Waipahu Depot St, Waipahu“My appointment was for a consultation only. I was a few minutes late and Maica was still happy to see me. Appreciated that! Service: This consultation appointment turned into a full service, which I was not expecting. After we discussed my needs and concerns and showing her some pics of what I had in mind, she offered to do my hair that same day. Pleasant surprise. I guess she had time to start me before her next client. She said it would take 1.5 hours and she kept her word. Felt like it was less. This was for a cut and color. I have grown out color and about 2-3 inches of the natural gray hair. I am trying to go Au natural. My hair looked awful. Couldn't stand it. You know that ugly faded orange color with the gray hair at the top you see people walking around with. Uuuuugh!! Super ugly. Get your hair done! There is hope! I gotta admit I was quite nervous because this was the first time she would be doing my hair. Once we decided what we were going to accomplish, she got to it. She works pretty fast. The whole time I'm thinking I hope this turns out well. A friend recommended her and I learned another friend goes there too. So with that, it calmed my nerves. The moment: FABULOUS! I am so pleased with both my hair color and cut. Maica did an incredible job of blending the gray to the orange to whatever dark natural color that was underneath. The color turned out just as she explained in the consultation. Such talent. She is a color specialist and an artist. The bummer: When I got home and changed I saw there were big stains on the collar and middle back of my shirt. This must've been from the color solution dripping. Good thing it was a junkie shirt so no big deal. I had a polo shirt so I'm thinking the collar got in the way. Usually I'd wear something with a low neckline. I was not expecting to get anything done on the same day so I did not dress for it. I don't know how it was missed and nobody saw it at the salon. Maybe they thought it was already like that when I came. It was a gray polo shirt and the stains were reddish/pinkish. If you're going for a color, dress for it. I wanted to remove a half a star for this mishap, but not able to do halves. Don't let this stop you from going there. Price: The fee for the cut and color was another nice surprise. I think she charges fair. Will I be returning?? FOR SURE, and everyone who loves it there should be telling all their friends. Don't wait until someone asks where you go for hair services. Once you get that compliment, share Maica's name. I highly recommend this salon. LOGISTICS, if you're interested... Payment Method: Cash and card, including AMEX. Location: The shop is in the old Arakawas building in Waipahu. Parking: Parking in this lot gets full especially during lunch hours. Another thing to note is there can be traffic entering the parking lot because of the popular market across the street. Plan on all of that. Parking is free for now but it looks like they are constructing something (small concrete slab at the entrance?) which could hold a booth or parking payment station. Hopefully not. What to expect: Enter the building, go up the stairs. You'll see it once you get to the top. There are two doors. Enter through the one on the right. Atmosphere: It is a small place, with about 3-4 chairs for hair service. In the other room there is a station for pedicures. I saw two wash basins and two hairdryers. There is a good vibe to the salon. Nice and quaint. Maica and Ella, and I didn't get the other gals name seem very nice, and respectful. The only regret I have is that I didn't take pictures of the final product. I'm not one to take pics of everything so I didn't think of it. The staff should offer people to take pics in case they forget or don't think of it.“

“We moved to Hawaii in May 2022 and I had to find a new hairstylist yet again! Yelp helped me to find O salon which houses many stylists including Erin. I had her fix the haircut I gave myself on my long hair and decided I trusted her to cut my hair SUPER short! Which is a huge deal for me. She did an amazing job listening to what I wanted and working within the confines of the hair I have. I just went back for my 6 week trim and she nailed it yet again! Good price, great stylist, with a wonderful balance of convo and Aiken! “

“Hubby likes to go here because the lady is kind and takes her time. Prices are $12.00 a hair cut for men. Driving on Middle street ( makai- ocean ) on the right hand side before Fort Shafter turn right - be careful- people not patient if you need to turn on middle street.. The lady trimmed my long hair - It only took about 10 minutes! Don't remember what she charged us for my haircut, but I believe it was under $20.00- at least I got a professional to cut my hair !! I've been cutting it myself since Covid “
“I love Sarah! Been going to her for over a year now and I'm never disappointed! She always listens to what I want, she's honest and doesn't push. Gives the best shampoo experience she's very experienced and will take care of you.“

“My hair cut was kind of expensive but everything in Hawaii IS well total costs was $50 (I think that's average since inflation ) and she seemed scissor happy (totally listened to me and warned me if I keep cutting ur not gonna like it- she was probably right even tho she doesn't know me). lmao but I liked the convenience of booking online fast response and fast timely service My hair cut was done and they even had same day service very easy to use website and they take cash and cc Close to my house easy to find communicates well and maybe I'm just mad about my hair being ruined by another salon Well u Park in front of the strip mall faced mauka on Kamehameha Hwy and u walk upstairs bathroom clean and NICE and it's alright nothing to brag about but maybe I should give them another try! Mainly for guys but she is a good little hairdresser with a nice shop support locals I think I'm too much of a critic but this is a great little gem made in Hawaii“
