The office staff returned our call right away. She was very friendly and got me connected with Tevita, the owner. Tevita is very thorough and meticulous. We wanted retaining walls in front and at the back of our house, part CMU part vinyl for our fence on the side of the house, concrete sidewalk, and extended back patio. Tevita listened attentively to what we wanted, offered his professional opinion, then went over what he planned to do. He was almost always present whenever they worked on our project. He has a lot of pride at what he does and it reflects on his work. When we were particular about some things, Tevita respected our wishes and he ensured to deliver. “IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG KUNKELWORKS HAS GOT YOUR BACK! The customer service can appear fine at many companies during normal transactions, but what happens after you pay, something goes wrong, and you are not completely satisfied? At this point only a few will truly shine and help. The majority will either ignore you or flat out deny your requests for remediation. On my recent project with Kunkelworks Hawaii I had a problem with the addition to an existing patio cover as explained in my YELP review "A Longtime Customer Review". In this particular review Kunkelworks received an overall 3 Star rating from me. I had several issues with the custom addition to an existing patio cover, and within a few hours of the review being posted I received a call from Kunkelworks Hawaii owner, Michal Norwicki. He set up an appointment to meet me face to face at my home to hear my concerns on the following day. Several months ago, during the inception of this project, I had the opportunity to meet Michal, and upon our recent reunion, my initial impression of his character was reaffirmed; Michal embodies openness, approachability, and never comes across as condescending in customer interactions. Our dialogue was engaging, providing insights into the evolution of my patio cover issues and fostering an exchange of ideas to enhance the customer experience. Under Michal's guidance, Kunkelworks Hawaii has witnessed significant sales growth, albeit accompanied by inevitable growing pain challenges, which Michal has diligently addressed through strategic mitigation plans. In summary, Michal recognized my dissatisfaction with the project's outcome, and he lacked confidence in the potential for further adjustments to adequately address the issues. Realistically, I highly doubt it.“
