“Had a great experience with WW.! Every person we worked with, was very knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions. The install team was very courteous in our house and did not leave any type of mess. They made sure we were 100% happy with how everything looked before they left! Would definitely recommend .“
“I never got around to making a review last year but the crew that came out was well supervised and actually pretty young contractors and laborers. Was in the process of remodeling my interior myself when I dislocated a shoulder. Had these guys come out last minute to install some sliders and a front door. Work was quick, precise, and quality. Cleanup was top tier too! Would recommend them based off my experience.... Regardless of the older reviews.“
“They did great work and it was done fast, as promised. Fair price. Nice people. I'd recommend them.“
“Living in Hawai'i where we have warm weather year-round, many of us live in homes with windows and doors that include screens to allow the cool breezes to circulate freely through without having to keep your air-conditioning unit(s) running or for keeping insects out. However, if you live in a high-rise condominium, that has been built within the past 2 decades, you'd undoubtedly either have floor to ceiling glass or awning windows that only open a foot out or you might be lucky to have large horizontal sliding windows and a sliding door that opens to a lanai to allow fresh air in. So here's my ranting or "whinging": We've lived in apartments, houses and townhouses that all had window and sliding door screens but recently, when we bought into a condominium project we immediately noticed there weren't any window or door screen treatments. You might not think that birds or insects can fly ABOVE 20 floors but trust me...they CAN. Also, dust or soot from the streets below comes up with the wind currents. So, what am I complaining about? I should/could run our air-conditioning 24/7 with all of my windows or sliding door closed but hey, nothing beats fresh air when the sun is shining outside. Our solution was to find a reputable and quality windows and doors vendor and installer. Trusting our Yelp app, we found several 4 and 5 star rated businesses but they all seem to be located further away from Honolulu or told us they were simply too busy to address our issues. Luckily, we looked up some of the business cards that we had collected from a BIA (Building Industry Association) of Hawai'i home improvement show and found The Window & Door Store, a Division of Screens & Things. The Window & Door Store is located near the corner of Isenberg and Beretania Streets in the Moiliili neighborhood. It shares a building with a music center and has a private parking lot on the same lot. We met with Robert Kincaid who was knowledgeable, friendly and upfront as we discussed our needs. He showed us several products that would be applicable to our sliding door and walk-in showers and bathtub. We talked about materials, decorative options, cost, installation and scheduling an estimator (who is familiar with our condominium) to come over to our unit. Now, all we have to do is wait until next week as we "start the ball rolling" on some of our Summer home improvement projects.“
“We just had our windows installed and love them! We purchased 30 windows and went with the jam and casing on the inside which makes the windows amazing. The installers were the absolute best. They were meticulous and very thorough. I was even able to paint the trim prior to install (inside and out). Thank you!“
“I bought windows and patio doors from Island Windows and Doors about 4 years ago. Recently I had a small latch on a window that needed to be adjusted/fixed. I called and Kawika came and fixed the problem inn15 minutes. They have been a great company with awesome customer service.“
“I had my windows installed about 1 /12 years ago with Tropical Wholesale. I still love them and find that the customer service is excellent with them. One of my screens clips snapped when I was washing the windows just recently and I didn't know how to fix it. Matt, himself came to my house and replace two clips and put the window screens back on my window. He was very courteous and professional. I see negative reviews about Tropical Wholesale but I believe it is just the competitors sending those reviews out. They get 5 stars from me.Debbie K“
“My balcony glass door shattered in the middle of the day. No one was outside or touching the door. It was a weird experience. Building management recommended me a glass company but the estimate came out to $6000+. One piece of glass for $6000+ is ridiculous. I called my insurance company and asked them for a recommendation. They told me to call Akamai Glass company. I called them and they were available to come check out the door as soon as possible. They provided the estimate a day or two later via email after checking the glass. And by the following month they installed the glass door. Their service is very fast. The price was still expensive for me personally but it was half the price of the initial glass company I was introduced to. Service was excellent and the glass installation went smooth. They brought all their equipments and knew what they were doing. Also, no shattered pieces were left behind. I definitely will be calling them again if we have another glass problem.“
“They are just a phone call away with great team work.I bought my sliding door entrance as requested by head contractor who told me there is a key lock.I was totally unaware of the "need" to ask for this feature if I needed to at Lowe's upon purchase.Long story short there was none.Contractor told me he would order = did notI needed to figure it out myself... months after "studio" project was complete.Pella is excellent.!!!!!“
