“Absolutely amazing! Such a great price for a fantastic massage! Edison was wonderful! It was the perfect balance of relaxing while still working on deeper tension release. He was professional, with great techniques but also warm, friendly, always checked in on how I was doing as well as my preferences and comfort level.Would highly recommend!“
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Celeste is not just an amazing masseuse; she is a true healer in every sense of the word. From the moment I walked into her tranquil space, I felt a sense of calm wash over me and have gone many times over the last few years. Her massage techniques are out of this world - I could feel the tension melting away with each soothing touch. But what truly sets Celeste apart is her expertise as a Reiki practitioner and sound healer. “I've had a great experience working with Dr. Lauren Anderson as part of this practice. She's knowledgeable, empathetic and curious -- willing to invest the time that's needed to find root causes and progressively and holistically prescribe a toolkit of solutions. In the last year, I've recovered almost completely from a c. diff infection and am making progress on other long-standing health issues that other medical practitioners either dismissed or told me were untreatable with anything other than prescriptions or invasive procedures. I'd recommend her without reservation to anyone seeking a complement - or alternative - to what's on offer from their alleopathic doctors.“
“I couldn't recommend Kailua Acupuncture Clinic more! I've been seeing Dr. Mariya Gold for many months now – throughout the majority of my pregnancy – and she's been so thoughtful, helpful and knowledgeable. She listens and tailors every session to what I'm feeling, and then at the next session will ask how that thing we treated last week is... and by that time, I've forgotten about it because she did such a great job healing it!
I'm really, really grateful I've found them and that they've been such a crucial part of my birth/labor preparation. <3“
“A very good place to get Chinese medicine treatment. Price is affordable. Very thorough and skillful. Highly recommended. Acupuncture for my back and shoulder pain relief worked very well. Herbal medicine is also very helpful.“
“I highly recommend the services provided by Advanced Mind body and Spa. You will not be disappointed.“
“Dr. Kawamoto did a thorough evaluation of my injury and background medical history before beginning my acupuncture session. She was able to locate the specific area of pain. She completed the session by stimulating these areas effectively and giving me specific exercises to work on and strengthen before my next appointment. I have had success in managing pain on a previous situation with Dr. Kawamoto and look forward to my next session.“
“When I need a little self-care, I love going to this place where I usually do cupping. The payment for the service is based on what you feel is fair.“
“This was such a wonderful experience!
I thought my injured shoulder was a lost cause, however, after a session of cupping and acupuncture I felt a significant difference and over time my shoulder is starting to heal!
The energy in the clinic is Zen and peaceful. The energy coming from the healers are positive and impactful!
Mahalo for the treatments!“

“we thank our blessings every day that our paths crossed with dr. uchida's. she is literally an angel residing earthside. i had very irregular menstrual cycles (sometimes going three months without one) and whenever i did have a period, they were often quite heavy lasting more than seven days... my longest being thirty days. on top of that, when we actually started tracking our ovulation window, we realized my luteal phase (the fourteen days after ovulation) was short and/or i would start spotting seven/ eight days in, which is not ideal for the success of a fertilized egg implanting into my uterine lining if it's already beginning to shed. not ever officially "diagnosed," but it was stated that i could possibly have endometreosis, adenomyosis, and pcos.so we began working with dr. uchida in january 2021 and i began a journey of NOURISHING my body three times a day with a specific diet that would support our fertility journey. it was HARD for me... eating wasn't something i did well... i tended to fast a lot and usually only ate once a day, sometimes two. she gently explained to me that my ovaries were one of the last things in my body to be nourished because i didn't need them to survive... eating three times a day, ESPECIALLY protein, would help to ensure they were getting the nutrients needed. she also started me on various herbs and pills that would help to nourish my body as well. as the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months, she adjusted my treatments, herbs, and pills accordingly; carefully observing how my body and menstrual cycle were responding. she was able to help me get my periods fairly regular... maybe about every six weeks instead of three months... and they were all a week long with only a couple of days being heavy instead of all of them! they also stopped being extremely clotty and much more flowy.and at the end of january 2022 we found out we were pregnant! we were beyond excited and dreamed of the family we were going to have... however, in march of 2022, God decided to keep our baby and our hearts broke into a million pieces. dr. uchida was such a HUGE support system during this tragic time for us... she didn't just physically help our body to recover from this loss, she was mentally and emotionally there for us, too. she MOTHERED us as if we were her own daughter... allowing us to cry and feel all our feels while wiping away our tears and hugging us. she was a safe space in an already difficult place to be.we continued our treatments and i finally began to practice qigong (as recommended by dr. uchida back in january 2021, but i never committed to). i mostly did it to give myself something new to focus on and to hopefully keep myself from going down a road of depression. i soon discovered that i loved the practice and it REALLY helped to transmute my energy into a positive, life giving force that not only kept my spirits up, but supported my fertility journey physically by clearing out all the negative/ blocked/ stagnant energy that happened to be stuck in certain areas of my body. it was refreshing and i liked that i could actually FEEL my qi moving within me after a class. i highly recommend it if you're the slightest bit interested in it.in august of 2022, we found out we were once again pregnant. but because of our previous experience and how an experience like that changes you, this time around we were cautiously excited and hopeful... i held my breath at each ultrasound and prayed for only good news. the weeks slowly turned into months and dr. uchida supported us through it all. when we had nausea for ten weeks, she made sure to ease it as much as she could with specific acupuncture points and encouraged us to continue eating as much as we could, even if it wasn't on the diet, because it was important to continue trying to nourish body while it worked incredibly hard to create and sustain new life. in april of 2023, we welcomed our beautiful baby into this world. .i fully believe that because of the treatment i was receiving and the herbs“
“I asked for something for the pain, she asked me where was the pain, I answered my wrist. She immediately knew which Chinese Herb I needed and explained the instructions on taking it. I got results that same day. The pain was gone, including the other pain in my body. It was wonderful. I wish there was a bigger Bottle. Thank you!!“
“I’ve seen Emily Cox for acupuncture a few times and she is amazing! Very intuitive, calm and knowledgeable. She helped me tremendously during an occipital neuralgia episode, and also with transmuting emotional blockages. Highly recommended!“
“Mei Li is an amazing chinese doctor/acupuncturistSince 40 years I'm having acupuncture in Belgium and also several in Honolulu. But Mei Li is the only one who was able to cure my symptoms. She keeps on searching till she finds the real problem and uses different techniques to achieve this.I can recommend here the full 100% to anybody.Thank you Mei Li !Guy“
“I love this place! I love how I feel after I get my acupuncture done. The advice I get and the way that Cymone cares about my health makes me come back here all the time.“
“COME HERE FOR CUPPING THERAPY! I tried cupping for the first time because my shoulder, upper arm and neck area have been super tense with poor blood circulation, and it was the BEST DECISION! You can tell the owners are extremely knowledgeable and experienced. They're so kind and guide you through every step and make sure you feel comfortable. I had such a pleasant experience. I'll definitely be going back once a week to continue cupping.“
“My go to Acupuncture guy for a few years now. I always go specifically for my sciatic pains.“
“Tim is an excellent, meticulous acupuncturist and herbalist. I feel lucky to have found him.“
“Clear Path is partly run by Maire and Joe, the latter of whom also owns and works at Kama'aina Acupuncture. Some content in this review for Clear Path also appears in the one I wrote for Kama'aina, as I've received treatments from him at both places.Unlike at Kama'aina, Clear Path doesn't use a sliding pay scale. This is a kind of higher-end version of Kama'aina, one where sessions are conducted in private rooms. It is to me reminiscent of some luxurious Thai massage spas that I experienced in Chiang Mai and Bangkok; the vibe is very relaxing, the sounds and aromas and fragrances sleep-inducing. It may be a little unusual to mention this, but the interior design is beautiful; I feel that online photos don't do it justice. They re-sourced materials from the Old Spaghetti Factory (stained-glass window) and the old Klum gym floor from UH, as well as many other architectural structures from around the island, incorporating the materials into the clinic's walls and counters. Stories about each section are pretty interesting. I just mention it because the creativity of design to the interior contributes to the overall atmosphere. Some people need solitude and a certain ambiance to feel rested, in which case Clear Path might be their preference. For those who worry about pain during treatments, I would say that I barely feel the needles enter my body, and the feeling itself is not unpleasant. The needles are extremely thin, not anything like the kind you'd use for sewing. Also, acupuncturists use plastic tubes to guide the entries of the needles, so each application takes a fraction of a second in which they tap the needle into the skin. (I believe this is generally the practice these days, because it was the same when I received acupuncture in Japan, where I lived for 21 years.) To me, it doesn't hurt at all. I feel less sensation from it than being pinched by someone's fingernails. Certainly, it's nothing like receiving an injection or giving blood. Acupuncture needles are so much thinner, and the time of entry so much quicker, that they are nothing like being pierced at a clinic or doctor's office. Oftentimes, with Chinese (and other non-Western) medicine, it can be hard to quantify results, or to clearly define them. For example, if pain goes away after a treatment, many skeptics might wonder if the acupuncture was the cause, or if it had more to do with the mindset of the patient. In other words, do we feel better afterwards simply because we believe we do? Is there a sort of placebo effect taking place? I understand that perspective. In my sessions with Joe, I can recount two specific instances of tangible results. This may be more information than the reader wants, but one of my issues being treated has been acid reflux. Had it for the first time recently. Although it still recurs once in a while, my condition has been much better since starting his treatments. I mean this along the lines of physical symptoms as well as feelings of discomfort (which can always be physical and/or psychological). In my situation, I would say that the physical symptoms noticeably lessened. The other example was Joe's treatment for one of my eyes. Over the last few years, every once in a while, capillaries in the whites of one of my eyes burst, and it becomes blood red. It doesn't hurt at all, and it doesn't affect my vision, but it can look pretty terrible. Usually takes a few weeks to clear up. After a session with Joe, most of the red was gone after two days. I was astonished. I'd never seen it disappear so quickly. I don't have evidence that it was because of Joe's treatment--I suppose acupuncture is like that, you don't have hard evidence of its effects--but I certainly don't think it was coincidental, and I credit his skills with the needles for my eye's return to quick normalcy.I haven't yet received treatments by Maire. I would like to note that, when I first contacted her for one of my relatives who was seeking treatment“
“I've known Dr. Fan for a few decades now and she's genuinely caring for all of her clients like her own family. She's patient and took time to explain everything from diagnosis of health issues to treatments. I prefer taking Chinese herbal medicine more than western medicine because it has no side effects like western medicines.“
“I live in the SF Bay Area, but I will fly from the Bay Area to see Dr Wong in Honolulu. I have had a hard time finding a good acupuncturist in the Bay Area. Most doctors care more about money rather than treating patients. Dr. wong was nice and very patient. She took time to explain my problems, even patiently teaching me how to diagnose my problems myself by looking at my own tongue. She really helped me improve and get better.“
“Much gratitude for this beautiful place & high quality bodywork/massage. I have known Amy for a few years. She’s extremely knowledgeable & qualified. Also, a wonderful instructor! I had Allyson working on me - it was without a doubt one of the best massage/bodywork sessions that I have had in my life. Appreciate you Allyson very much for all your hard work & dedication to give me the best Deep Tissue/Sarga & Cupping therapy session. Wishing you ladies all the best & can’t wait to come back!!! Hugs.“
“I have received massage and acupuncture from Nina Kapfer for nearly 20yrs. She is generous with her time and knowledge and I have come to truly appreciate her contribution to my overall good health. She is competent, caring and professional. She listens, adjusts her treatments accordingly and offers useful advice. I am grateful for our longstanding relationship!“
“Samantha is a lovely person and skilled practitioner. She has been treating me for over three years now. When you arrive it's like a small and peaceful oasis. Very aloha. Her pricing is kind like she is. Samantha will make you feel welcome and is very present. Her touch with needles is equally sensitive and on point! Every treatment with Samantha is a gift.“
