The owner Tyler was great! I took my first lesson from him and was so excited to start my journey with the ukulele. Bought a great uke and book as well. He and Suni (sp?) we're so amazing and helpful.

There are many ukulele shops in Hawaii. You can easily find any make or model. BUT, this shop is different. The owner, Tyler,is often in the store and is generous with his time. He is a ukulele musician who has selected the instruments in his shop to meet the various needs of his customers. In his store you don't find just any ukulele's that factories or makers have sent him, but instead Tyler has selected instruments, using his talents, so the you can trust what you see as the cream of the crop. I took my time and talked to Tyler five or six times. There are cheaper ukuleles elsewhere, but I know I purchased an instrument that is worth the money, and I have a new trusted friend in Tyler to whom I can return for help and advice. Stop in, look around, and talk to Tyler before you buy anywhere. It is time well spent. James

The lady who helped me was incredibly kind, patient, and non-judgmental, even though I was a total beginner and took multiple visits before making a purchase. She tuned up and let me play different sizes and finishes from several different builders, both Hawai'ian and import, to help me find an instrument that I enjoyed playing and felt comfortable purchasing. The owner was also very nice and understanding, spending a long time shooting the breeze with me even after closing the sale. They stock a very wide range of instruments from all the major and some minor builders, so this is a great place to compare instruments from beginner to expert to collector grade.
