Almost 2 weeks post Lasik with Dr. Portis and I could not be happier! So grateful for the referral and that I fought past my fear to get it done. Everyone was right...it really is life changing. The blues are blue-er and the greens are greener! No more glasses, no more contacts thanks to Dr. Portis and his precision in getting my vision just right!

Loving Lasik with Dr Portis. Finally had stable enough vision to qualify. Two weeks of glasses was rough, but the procedure was only 15 minutes and at worst the discomfort was 4/10 at the beginning of the procedure. I then consentrated on the green and red blinky lights and the next thing I knew I was sitting up and able to read the clock. The second Valium helped me to nap and when i woke up the world was in perfect focus. Aftercare was antibiotic and steroid drops four times a day for a week. Restasis twice a day one month before and after the procedure for the anticipated dry eye. Systane Ultra drops in the single serving packs were great. I had 6 days of dry eye and a mild foreign body sensation in my left eye. Now I dont have to worry about not being able to find my glasses without my glasses.

Drs Portis & Sugiki are the best ophthalmologists! We would recommend them to anyone who is looking for an eye doctor. They're innovative & professional. Their staff is courteous & they always try to accommodate our urgent needs. Having an optician in the office is convenient too! Dr Portis is my fave, he treats us with respect & explains procedures thoroughly & gives us opportunity to ask questions.
