I did first HIFU treatment at J Clinic. The staff is experienced and knowledgeable and the procedures are responsibly priced. I'm very happy about the result and I will definitely come back again for my anti-aging maintenance ?

Okay. If anyone has told you that "laser hair removal feels like waxing," don't listen to them. It's pretty painful. I'd describe the feeling, but I wouldn't want to deter you from actually going and experiencing it for yourself. Obviously you're curious about it, otherwise you wouldn't be reading all these Yelp reviews. I will tell you, though, that it feels absolutely nothing like waxing, at least the first session anyway. But the great news: the pain goes away the instant the laser leaves that area. So don't worry, it's not a prolonged, throbbing pain. It's a quick (and quite painful) slap to the spot and BOOM, pain is gone. I bought a Groupon for J Beauty for 3 sessions. I've gone to my first session and have yet to use the last two. You go every 6 weeks, is what I'm told. I'll fill you in on my next appointment if it's any different. J Beauty is located in the Ala Moana Building. Google Maps or Apple Maps will help you get there. The building itself has parking, but you can also park at Ala Moana shopping center. You know where Longs and Genki is? Well that massive parking structure right across from it, maybe one floor up is best. There's a little walkway that connects that parking lot to the building you need to get to. Come early and you won't have trouble finding parking. You are greeted by about 3-4 friendly faces as you walk in, give them your name and if it's your first time, you'll have some paperwork to fill out. Shouldn't take too long though and next thing you know, you'll be in the room and getting prepped for your procedure. They walk through the full disclosures with you, ask you if you have any questions, tell you what to do and what to look out for, and then return with some ice to numb the area you're about to laser. The ice helps, but not much. But it does help. I took some ibuprofen about 30 minutes before my appointment. Not too sure if that helped, but maybe it'll help ease your pain. I do wish they iced the area just a wee bit longer, but pain is pain. And you'll feel the pain regardless. It has been about 3 weeks since my first procedure. I've got 3 more weeks until I am due for my second visit. I am very pleased with the result so far. They told me that I'd notice hair start to fall out, which it did. The hair in the area has thinned and has not really grown back. Can't wait to see the end result after all the sessions! On another note, you'll need way more than one session to get your ideal result. Don't wax in between sessions, and don't worry about the pain too much. Like I said, it goes away instantly. So far, so good. I'd recommend based off my first visit. From what I understand, they also send deals and discounts periodically, so sign up for their mailing list. As far as their Groupon deals go, once you buy one and use it, you can't redeem any more Groupons with them. Good luck!
