My son has been getting his haircut here for years at $10-$12. Couldn't go wrong with that price. Today they charged him $20 to fix his haircut. Called to speak to Diana & she says she's been charging that price for years. Hung the phone up on me as I was talking to her & said she had other calls coming in. Worst customer service ever. Diana was rude & unprofessional. Definitely do not recommend going here. Save your money & time!

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE It's not the cheapest place in Kalihi, but a men's cut can be fast and decent! === 2. SERVICE Men's cuts are $15, so it's a $2-$3 more than the nearby competition. Why would I bother spending a little more? Because there's hardly much of a wait here! I can get in and get back out to life fairly quick... Like another Yelper mentioned, a picture really helps. John is the fellow here who has cut my hair and he's pretty good once he's seen a picture of what you want, including the fades if necessary (hidden gem: you don't get the painstakingly detail and care taken at Mio's but it does the job pretty well for those that cut their hair every week or two like I do!) === 3. ATMOSPHERE It's a simple shop with three barber's chairs and another chair for nails. While you wait in one of the few customer chairs, you can gaze longingly at one of the many older pictures of what must presumably be female Asian singing/show stars in their time. You can get your hair, nails, or eyebrows done here to the soft music coming from a laptop playing some long video on YouTube. Parking is right outside on the sidewalk essentially, at an angle - just watch out when backing out onto traffic that is N. King Street!

I called at 10am for 1045 appt, she said ok 1045. Drove from moanalua area to open the door and see only one pedicure chair. I said only one at a time? She said yes, only fast, I replied no too long, turned around and walked out. Never thought to ask how many chairs they have.
