7/29/23: Went to Hilo Shopping Center, to Jin Ju Hair Salon, & saw the talented hair stylist, "Aunty Chang"! (In the past, while my mom lived with me, my mom INSISTED that I bring her ONLY to, Jin Ju Salon!; which I happily & dutifully did). Now these days, I'm going there, regularly ?. Aunty Chang, is THE BEST!?❤️Service: Haircut
Mrs.Chang took one look at the picture I wanted and did her magic to make me look cute and awesome!!I had bleached half my hair during quarantine so it was pretty damaged, and I'd let it grow out long and unruly, but she was able to skillfully cut my hair, have a fun conversation, and take appointments all at once!She's definitely charging too little for 40+ years of experience (a cut/layer, blowdry, and curl was only $35), so make sure to tip well!I wish I lived here so I could come all the time.Aloha Mrs. Chang! <3
I'm surprised that I don't see any reviews for Jin Ju Hair Salon. Mrs. Chang is very friendly and helpful. It's funny to see these Korean ladies (ajummas) get together and gossip. Some of them just hang out at the salon. I can't understand most of what they talk about but since I've been watching Korean dramas, I can understand a few words.
