We recently moved here to the Big Island and was in search for a groomer for our Shitzu Ali. He has had a really bad experience with a groomer at Petco on Oahu and ever since then it has been so hard taking him to get groomed because previous groomers can't finish grooming him and would always say he was to difficult to cut and didn't want to take him anymore. I heard only good things about Downtown dogs and decided to try them out. Mahea took Ali even though I had informed her that he was difficult. Happy to say that she was able to groom him and when I picked him up he looked calm and not terrified. I'm very happy that we finally found someone to groom... read full review

Our two older terrier mix pups get a lovely groom at Downtown Dogs every two months. They are always on time, friendly, and caring. They send cute pics after the groom! (Ignore the white dog's sad face, he is just anxious!) Picture credit to DD!
