Dr. Bates is the best vet in the Athens area. I switched to Dr. Bates from another local vet who did not know my dog or me after 10 years. Dr. Bates has come to know my dog and has provided spectacular care and consultation as she has aged. She is now 13, and Dr. Bates continues to steer us in the best possible direction for my dog’s health and well-being, making sure we are able to make the most of whatever time she has left. You can tell that he genuinely cares about the animals he treats, as well as the owners as people. I would recommend Dr. Bates to anyone.
Great! Dr. Bates and the staff are wonderful, they listen to your concerns and are very personable. I have to say that I told my husband the other day, Ansley is one of the sweetest people that I have ever met and also the best on the phone! So great on that phone!!!
The Strickland Family cannot thank Dr. Bates and staff enough. We have/had 4 dogs he takes care of. He helped us navigate to sadly send one to rainbow bridge a few weeks ago, and another with dental cleaning and mass removal. He called us tonight after 7:00pm to check on Buddy and let us know tumor benign…and to let us know to call him if we needed anything! We have used him for years…and would not ever go anywhere else!!! Thank you Dr. Bates!!!
