“I was refered to Southern Specialty Contractor by a gutter replacement firm I had hired. I needed the gutters replaced because I was waterproofing the basement, which had previously flooded before I owned the house. Scott asked if I had the roof inspected, and since my home inspector had only done it from the ground suggested I have Rod come and take a look. Good thing I did. Rod came out the next day and discovered extensive hail pitting from 2013 that the prior owner had not repaired.Rod gave me a very reasonable quote and said he could meet my timeline. His crew was scheduled for the first day I had funds to pay him. Roofing material was dropped at my house a few days prior. Communication was great throughout.His crew arrived promptly pre-dawn to start setup and worked until after sunset to finish in one day. The entire crew was polite and hardworking. The foreman, Manny, was available for every question I had and accommodated every request cheerfully. For example I told him I never used the antenna and if it was attached to the roof they did not need to put it back up for me. He volunteered to take it down and dispose of it.They also put up a cricket to stop water build up against the chimney. This was not part of the original quote and they did not charge extra. The one area they had to replace a roof board was around the chimney where it was damaged from previous water intrusion.I could not be happier with the results or the work done by the roofing crew.“
