“Ok so I just completed my 4th appointment with J. Marie and I am ready to give my review. On my first appointment I got my hair colored wash, cut, silk pressed. At first, I explain to her that I didn’t want a lift put in my hair for the color because when I let the Dominicans color it and they lifted my hair, my hair broke off. She was honest with me and told me that in order for me to achieve my color goal that she would have to put a little bit of lift in the color. She also stated that if I keep coming back regularly my hair will not break off and that she would take good care of my hair. Well all I can say is “SHE GOT THEM GROWING HANDS”!!! My hair is now healthy, growing, and no longer breaking off. I would give her a 10 star if allowed lol.“

The day I arrived I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome when I walked in by Kausssandra. She is sweet, down to earth, and great at what she does! I received a shampoo, condition, trim, and braid down. Kaussandra gives the best shampoo service!! She even oiled my scalp and was so attentive and prompt during my service. “Hair tech did a wonderful job coloring my hair, trimming, and giving me a blow out. I was especially impressed with the outcome of the coloring. They were very kind and respectful and even offered me pizza the employees had just ordered while I was waiting and allowed me to borrow a charger. My only complaint is the time it took. I understand that multi-tasking is part of the job at times but doing 4 + heads simultaneously creates a bad experience for some like myself. A rough estimated wait time should be given initially because I was there for 5hrs despite them starting the coloring right away. Aside from them being understaffed, and taking too long, I'd recommend this place for my natural hair girls. I had 0 heat damage. Solid spot!“

So don't be expecting to be ultra pampered so there's no water or coffee and tea service or beer and wine ( I used to love going to the salon back in Boston on Thursday or Friday evening for just this little extra they threw in) They do a good job and she kept good conversation. They weren't busy at all and I think that's due to her location more than anything. I drove right by the place because it's a little hard to spot, but other than those what I would consider minor things, I had a great experience and my hair looks fantastic“
