“I met Joel after the Alpharetta Women’s Half Marathon in 2022. It was my first half marathon after a snapping hip injury sustained in late 2020. I had been in regular PT for 9 months, which helped with the accrue issue. I knew if I was going to progress with my running beyond the 15 miles per week I had built up to, that I would need to continue with a specialized strength program. Joel was just the person to help with that. We met about once every 4-6 weeks to tweak the strength and pre-hab I was doing for my hip, with the goal of building mileage in a healthy way. This month I was able to complete the Disney Dopey Challenge (5k, 10k, half and full marathons on consecutive days) without issue. I know the strength program he helped me with was a key to building up from 15/20 miles per week to 35/40 miles per week. Thanks Joel!“
