I just wanted to give a quick shoutout to everyone at Sweetwater Veterinary Hospital in Palmetto. My sweet girl couldn’t hold down a meal for several days after a wilding adventure and I was starting to panic. I went to Chatty first, because like most, I need somewhere that is going to be good for my baby but also kind to my wallet. I came across several posts that mentioned Sweetwater. Before arriving, I let them know that my girl was extra anxious; perfect, because of the vomiting she needed to come in the side door. Guys, from the moment we walked in (or really, the initial phone call), they were absolutely AMAZING! They were so patient with my oversized ball of anxiety, even recognizing that a different tech may be better at one point because Lolli couldn’t settle at all. Because of a few emergencies, we ended up seeing three different vets and multiple techs, which would usually be mildly concerning in general (continuity in plan of care, information sharing, financial decisions, etc) but for an anxious girl (seriously, she’s a nail biter), I was terrified for her. However, despite the different people, the care, the information, treatment plans, everything remained the same. Every single time before they did something we talked about how it would affect my girl, potential side affects, cost, and alternatives. We ended up having to sedate her and I had to leave here there. Did I sit in the parking lot crying for a few minutes before realizing she was out cold and wouldn’t miss me? Absolutely. However, there was not a moment in the 48 hour process where I did not feel heard or where I didn’t feel like they put Lolli’s health and safety first. They even called to check on her today, knowing they’ve had several REAL emergencies in the meantime. Every single person in that office was so kind and patient, both with me and with my girl (because I was a giant ball of nerves as well). I cannot recommend this place enough! We will be forever patrons. If you are looking for a vet office that truly cares about you and your baby, this is the place for you!! 🥰🥰🥰
I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the amazing team at Sweetwater Veterinary Hospital who have cared for my beloved Quinnie since 2019. Dr. Gladfelter and Dr. Powell went above and beyond for my Quinnie. Over these years, they have not only been my trusted veterinarians but have truly become a part of our extended family. Corine, Savannah and Dana always loved on my baby just as much as I did. You felt all of their love for animals. The compassion, patience, and professionalism every member of the staff shows—whether during routine visits or critical moments—has made all the difference for Quinnie and for me. The team always remembered Quinnie's unique needs and went above and beyond to ensure she felt safe and loved. There have been times when Quinnie needed extra care, and they handled everything with extraordinary expertise and empathy. The clear explanations, gentle hands, and genuine concern for her comfort allowed me to trust that she was always in the best possible hands. Thank you for treating Quinnie as if she were your own. I am endlessly grateful for your unwavering dedication and support. Especially at end of Quinnie’s journey. I didn’t feel like I was letting my girl go all alone. WE as a family let OUR Quinnie go. It meant more to me than anyone can ever imagine. They are my Vet clinic for life. This vet is absolutely amazing! Their kindness and love for animals is heart warming. They took care of our chicken and go her feeling well again, as well as showed the upmost empathy when we lost a separate chicken. I’d recommend them to anyone!
