I love love love their work!!! These ladies are the best braiders around. I've been coming here for years and I always show up after I have decided to cut my natural hair. They NEVER turn me away and do such an amazing job braiding shorter hair. I get so many compliments on my box braids. I love the atmosphere. There's always laughter and the ladies make you feel so comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone!

Agnes was wonderful she was very accommodating for a same day appointment for box braids. Once I arrived there was a braider finishing up and was able to start on me right after. I have a lot of hair so I'm used to being at the shop all day for braids. These women are quick! I was not there long at all! I was very pleased with the final result and everyone in the shop was very nice. The prices are fair and the braids are neat. I have gotten many compliments so I will definitely go back and highly recommend Agnes and her team!!

Well, this is one of the better hair braiding salons I've been to. There are several things I like about this salon: 1. It's a little hard to find. I don't like salons that are located inside of a shopping mall or on a busy street where anybody can just walk by and take a peek inside. Maybe it's just me...I'm kinda funny like that. 2. It's cleaner than a lot of other salons. Don't get me wrong, there was hair all over the floor...so much so that you almost couldn't walk from one side to the other without getting hair wrapped around your shoes, but like I said it is cleaner than most. And to be fair, I went there right before Easter weekend and the place was jammed packed! 3. The ladies in there were very nice. They greeted me when I walked in a couple of days before and the day I returned to get my hair done, they once again gave me a friendly greeting. Most salons don't do that nowadays. Now...there were some things I did not like. These may be deal-breakers for others, but they were not deal-breakers for me. 1. When I called for a price quote, the price they wanted me to pay was $25 more than was originally quoted. She did say "around" the original price, but I take that to mean either $5 or $10 more or less....not $25. When I addressed my concern, we settled on a $15 difference. I wasn't overly impressed, but I heard that was a decent rate for getting your hair braided on that side of town. Because of that, I'm going back to the South side to get my hair braided. 2. When I called for the price quote, the lady (Agnes the owner) was soooo nice and patient with me. I told her right then and there I wanted her to do my hair and she agreed. However, when I got there, she was doing someone else's hair and assigned another girl who was much younger (late teens early 20's) to do my hair. Normally I would have protested, but like I said it was Easter weekend and a lot of the other salons were completely booked. 3. The younger girl was very nice, but she took waaaaay too long to braid my hair! I was so agitated from sitting there that long. 4. It has only been a week since I got my hair braided and about 3 or 4 of them are already coming loose. I think all I have to do is go back and let them know. BOTTOM LINE: All in all, this is a nice salon with nice people. The only reason I'm not going back is because it was a little too pricey for me.
