    We brought Phoenix home with us 10 years ago! He is now a grumpy old man, but is still the leader of his pack. He still hates to get his nails done and won't let us touch his feet. That is his ONLY flaw.

    The center was suggested by someone associated with them. I had been looking for a dog over a year. It seemed that most of the shelters had a lottery system which was like being on an emotional roller coaster. Find a dog, make preparations to bring home and you draw the short straw...not a good feeling at all. After contacting the center(email), got a call in 24 hours and was told a dog was available! I immediately made an appointment to visit with Charley, a very handsome yellow lab/pink nose. He totally exceeded my expectations. Mild manners, highly intelligent and extremely obedient.
