Dr Akit Patel is this best GI Dr I have had in years!! He really cares, knows my medical history well and has a great personality. His office staff are great too. I would trust Dr Akit Patel with all of my family members
Dr. Akit Patel and staff are awesome!! I was scheduled for my colonoscopy and endoscopy and had it done at the windy hill office. 2 days later I get a phone call saying they lost all my information and medical record. I had to scan everything they discharged me with and send it back to them. Then it takes a month to get my results. Not really knowing if they are my actual results since everything else was lost. Nothing has been uploaded into my patient portal. Do not recommend!!
They scheduled my colonoscopy without informing me that a pre-authorization was submitted to my insurance. Then contacted me 3 days before my appointment to collect a $700 payment. I feel like they should inform patients of the pre-authorization process and fees BEFORE scheduling treatment.
