“This was my first time visiting Beaver Beauty Academy. I booked my appointment online, but when I arrived I stated that I was considering another hairstyle based on the health of my hair. However, because you have to pay upfront for services, they needed to know what to charge me. I spoke with two teachers, Ms. P and Ms. Tan who helped me realize that the hairstyle I booked might not turn out how it looked in the picture I showed them. My other hairstyle option was to cut my hair into a bob so we decided to do that. They let Ms. Tan do my hair which normally isn’t allowed, but she took great care of me. She warned me that she’s been told she massages scalps roughly, but it felt good to me. My scalp felt thoroughly cleaned. Afterwards, she blow dried, cut, and flat ironed my hair. I love how my cut turned out and will definitely be visiting the school again to try out other services! I would highly recommend visiting this school as an option for beauty services. There were several teachers available to assist students who had questions or needed help. I’ve been to another local beauty school that offers similar services and sometimes the student would have to stop in the middle of the service to find a teacher for assistance. FYI their nail school closes at 1pm so I’d suggest scheduling nail services first.

Update: I went back on 12/19/24 to get highlights. A student named Aniya took care of my services. I believe it was her first time doing highlights and a silk press. She did an excellent job on both. The color looks amazing, as if it were professionally done! My silk press has been holding up well and my hair still has a little bounce to it even after wrapping it at night. I will definitely come back and request for Aniya to do my hair again or at least until she graduates.“
