I procured an extra trash can to use for yard waste and my sometimes-overflowing regular trash. The process went well.

I had to do this because yard waste bags are longer allowed. I presume it's because the current crop of trash handlers is too weak to hoist the bags of leaves and grass into the rear of the trash truck. Add that to the opportunity to derive more revenue from an extra trash can, and you have yourself a winner of an idea.

Red Oak Sanitation is on time, reasonably priced, communicative and if by chance your trash was missed on your assigned day, they will pick it up in the same week on a different day. If it is missed again, they will credit your account for the missed week. Also, every time I've called them, they have been very pleasant to talk to.

Trash pick up is consistent and reliable. Recycling was not picked up last week. Not the first time that recycling was skipped without notice. Overall, happy with Red Oak. Just a few blips over 8 years.
