The in class sessions were overwhelmingly crowded. I called today (early August) to schedule my daughters driving lessons, that were paid in advance, and the first available appointment is November. My daughter turns 16 October 30th. I asked for a refund for the driving lessons, so I could schedule elsewhere, and that is not an option. I asked to be put on a cancellation list and they dont have one. Very disappointed in this experience.
Called to inquire about Driving lessons, the woman who answered the phone had an attitude when I asked her to repeat the number of the Driving instructor that she told me that I needed to call. Very Unprofessional blowing your breath in the phone at customers like they're bothering you all because they asked you to repeat a number. If the receptionist is unprofessional, then it makes me wonder about the Driving Instructor.
As a business owner, I do not like giving negative reviews but in this case it is deserved. Consider this review my PSA not to consider this school for your children. I paid for my daughter to attend their classroom training and 6 hours of on-road driving in May. She attended the classroom portion in late June. In JULY when I called to schedule her on-road instruction they told me that the earliest available appointment was OCT 19th (3 months later!). She was scheduled for license road test NOV! Needless to say, I was irritated at their lack of availability and asked if I had any other options. I was told that they get cancellations from time to time and it was possible I could get one of those appointments if they opened up sooner than OCT. I asked how I could find out about cancellations. She told me that I could call. I replied, "What? I have to call you every day?" She replied "Yes". Me: "Seriously?" Her: "Yes, we don't have any automated systems here, the owner is old and has no interest in automating anything." Me: "Wow" I scheduled the appointments.... and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. Well today is OCT 19th and it was supposed to be the first of two 3 hour lessons. I said to my husband, "you know it is strange that no one has called or emailed to confirm her appointment." So I call Taggart's Driving School. The same woman answers. I tell her my concern that no one has contacted me and my daughter's lesson is supposed to start in 2 minutes. Her: "That's strange, let me check" Her: "Oh No!" Me: "What?" Her: "Her instructor quit with no notice 3 weeks ago." Me: "What?? Why didn't you contact me?" Her: "We did, we called and left a voicemail." Me: "Uhm, no... you didn't" Her: "Sorry" Do not use this school unless you want the same experience. I posted my story on Facebook and I have already received 7 comments from different people in less than an hour that have the same story to share. BUYER BEWARE!
