I visited Embellish Salon today. Mrs. Odessa, the owner was my stylish. I got a wash, color, and my eye brows waxed. Mrs. Odessa did a beautiful job on my hair, and the brow wax was the bomb. I don't know my schedule far enough in advance to make nail appointments. That's what first brought me here. I have always been a walk in and I have never waited more than 15 minutes.
I hadnt had my nails done in 20 years (it used to be $20!!) So I was a little surprised when what I used to get for $20 is now $50+ but after comparing, Nail Trip is comparable and usually $5 or so less than places I checked out on chapel hill and at the mall. I've been getting my nails done consistently for 4 months here and I've been satisfied every time.
I’ve been going to Nail World for over 20 years. The staff is amazing and so kind. The prices are so reasonable—far cheaper than going into the city to get your nails done. I can still get a really good SNS or gel manicure and pedicure for less than $100 at nail world unlike these other salons that charge crazy prices for nails that break and chip.
Definitely recommend but note that they do get busy in the evenings and on weekends so if you can, make an appointment the day before or the day of.
Cleanliness: They have always been extremely clean and never reuse items. Instead they give you the feet scrubs and toe nail files to take home.
Wow, they provide the best experience. My wife and I have been a lot! Might be ashamed, but I will say we have been enough to have everyone who works there work on our nails. My wife never wants to go anywhere else. Can’t recommend them enough.

Al and Kamal fixed our problem immediately. Water was pouring out of our meter box. They quickly located the problem and fixed it, also adding a better shut off valve. Offered helpful advice. Friendly, professional, showed me each step. Really offered so much help and relief.
They were about to do the grading, foundation leveling, and plumbing ground work for my new property. They did this all in two weeks, I highly recommend them for fast, great work.
When we had a plumbing problem, we called a lot of local plumbers. Cook actually answered the phone and had someone out that day. All but one other place I called never returned my call. Rusty was our plumber for the job and he was a friendly guy who knew what he was doing and did the job efficiently, offering tips on what to do if the problem happened again. Would totally call them again (though hope I don't have to!).
This man knows his job. He doesn't try to make more of the job than what it is. He came prepared to get the job done. Shares his opinions and listens to yours. I will definitely be calling him for future repairs and installations.

These guys came in and replaced old pipes. The pipes were in the house since 1977. Herman and Kyle came in and explained what needed to be done and what could possibly go wrong. They got it done in a day and cleaned very well before they left. True professionals.

Awesome! I have found my electrician for life. As long as I’m in the area I won’t work with anyone else for my electrical needs. Received my inspection report with a few “major” electrical findings and was frantic when I spoke with Sean. He assured me that he’d investigate and let me know how major they were. Apparently, they weren’t major findings and I didn’t spend a lot of money for repair. He even caught a few things that I missed in previous walkthroughs, like the doorbell not working. He repaired that, too! Sean is reliable, responsive and very knowledgeable. It was a pleasure working with him. I’m certain you’ll have the same experience.

I'm extremely happy with my floor project that K&M completed. I had a pleasant experience with the entire team from start to finish (Chase, the floor team, and Stephanie). I had carpet on the floor that was 20 plus years old, it was old, smelly, and outdated. My subfloors were horrible and needed a complete demo. I started having plumbing problems in my house and figured my septic tank needed to be pumped. They were able to work with my schedule and came out later that week. When they came out they told me my septic tank was fine but I had a clog in the system. They were then able to fix the clog and get everything working again. They were very friendly and charged me a reasonable price for their services.
This company has been in business 30 years and has always done exceptional work. They guarantee their work for 3 years and are insurance company approved.
I have now had Structural Fix work on my house and my partners house. Both times they were professional, on time, and knowledgeable. For the repair to my partners house they came out after we found a rotted beam that having fixed would have potentially lengthened the schedule of our bathroom remodel. They sent enough people out to get the job done in a timely and saved our schedule. Jeff is beyond honest and will never oversell. The crews have always been professional and treated us and our homes with respect, they have incredible knowledge of older homes that need finesse and care. I had no concerns about giving them free access to our homes, and they left our basement cleaner than they found it. They very patiently answered any of my questions and concerns without making me feel like I was an imposition. I recommend them to everyone I can and several of my friends have also used them.
After reading other people’s reviews, I was hesitant to work with them at first, but I’m glad I did! I called Wilbert because I was interested in repairing my deck. I wasn’t looking for a complete rebuild, because a lot of the quotes I was getting for that were just out of our budget, and I knew our deck had good structural integrity overall. We just needed some repairs and a refresh at least to buy us time while we’re saving up for a total rebuild one day. Wilbert and his partner Juan delivered on that objective and even went above and beyond our original expectations - all for an extremely competitive price & a small fraction of what others were quoting us. Originally I was thinking about only replacing compromised boards and spots on my deck but after discussing solutions with them, they offered to replace the entire foundation, add additional supports under the deck for greater strength, & and new steps (almost a whole new deck!) and all of that again for a great price. I asked if they could build a gate at the top of the steps to help enclose the deck for our kids/pets. They were very accommodating and gladly added that in for a very small and reasonable increase in labor costs. And my wife and I love the way the gate turned out. When it came time to paint, my wife and I chose a color that when applied we didn’t like as much and when I asked them if we could add another color, they were again very accommodating & committed to helping us arrive at a color we liked for a very reasonable increase in labor costs. Along the way, whenever we had concerns & questions, they were responsive, accommodating, and reasonable, and we’ll definitely keep them top in mind for small jobs we might need in the future. Reliable Contracting was fantastic! Completely nailed, and then some, our new back deck. We now have a the outdoor living space we were hoping for. Some highlights of the crew were consistent and thorough communication throughout the job. Flexibility with our schedule. Honesty in general. And of course, very fair but affordable pricing. Will be using again for anymore home updates!
I had to call G&G over Labor Day weekend. We had yellow jackets make a home in the void in our fireplace. We had a few come in the house. Dennis actually called me back, about an hour after I left a message. I called several different companies that day, and Dennis called me back. He told me to seal off the fireplace from inside, which we did. On Tuesday, Dennis himself came out, about 5pm or so. He treated the issue, all is well. I would definitely recommend G&G. Very professional, and answered all of our questions. I spoke with a young lady in the office, Paige, I hope I spelled correctly. She was also very helpful, and understanding. Thank You folks for taking care of this. One more thing, the price was beyond reasonable.

Call Jayden to start a prevention treatment. His guy Justin showed up on time and made quick work of spraying the outside. They offered to come back if I happened to see any bugs before the next quarter. Very fair prices and friendly service. I plan to continue using them!

Steve is the bomb.... we have used B & S for YEARS and don't have any bugs, he treats the inside AND the outside when he comes to our office. He has been out for an "emergency" once as well..... due to outside bees near our AC unit. He knew just what to do and what kind of "bees" they were! I would definitely recommend Steve over the big companies, and he's a local. I like somebody who talks tomatoes with me! Call him for your pest needs... he's very affordable.

I had a dental emergency this morning and called about 3 different practices in Douglasville and this office was the only one that kindly took down my name and phone number and promised to call if there was a cancellation. To my pleasant surprise they were able to see me and Dr. McIntire resolved my issue quickly and successfully. I love my results and highly recommend this office and their staff!

I’ve had my share of terrible dental experiences, but I’ll rate this one my number one BEST experience. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and transparent in communication. There’s a shortage of dental hygienist nationally, and they made it clear that they’ll have to work me in for a cleaning and from looking at the schedule, that would’ve been November. They were actually able to work me in the next week! ☺️ Every member of the team I interacted with were genuinely kind people. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone who wants a 5 star experience. Thank you!

I've lived in Douglasville for 25 years. About 10 years ago Dr. Pidgeon saved me from what I thought would be imminent back surgery. At 43 years old and in excellent shape I woke up one morning and couldn't get out of bed. And when I did make it out I couldn't get off my knees to stand. The pain was excruciating. I eventually was able to stand but could barely walk without pain killers, heating pads and help from my wife. I was terrified. Weeks passed and my condition was not improving. I spoke with a neighbor who had successfully undergone surgery for a compressed disk. They cut open his back and shaved down the bulging disk that was aggravating the nerve and he was brand new the very next day. However the same guy suggested that I try chiropractic before going under the knife. I had seen my Gen Prac and she had referred me to the ortho but I decided to go see Dr. Pidgeon first. I will admit that I thought chiropractors sold snake oil and I told him as much. But he wasn't offended. He said I get that all the time. I'm often the last resort before surgery. He examined me. Adjusted my back. I felt immediate relief. And most importantly he explained my situation to me in words I could understand. He said give it a couple days and if it's not 100% we'll try another technique. I came back. He applied another technique and I was back to my old self and I've been a patient ever since. I'm a very active I guy. Every now and then something gets out of alignment and I go in for what I refer to as a 'tune up'. I've told Dr. Pidgeon he needs to train his predecessor because I'm going to have a panic attack if he ever retires. Now I'm going to pray nobody pays attention to this review because increased traffic means increased wait times and he doesn't take appointments. He's the best in town. Thanks Doc!!

My dog Candy recently got diagnosed with diabetes and it’s been very difficult to manage her levels. This problem couldn’t have come at a worse time, where I just couldn’t give Candy the attention she needed. Dr Fredricks is very understanding, very friendly and WILL spend time speaking to you as long as there’s a chance to. I have never ever felt rushed inside of their clinic or on the phone. I’ve grown to appreciate Dr Fredricks as a professional and as a person due to the frequent visits. I wish her and her assistant many many blessings. <3
I wish that I could give this office more than 5 stars. Dr.Cohn has been amazing with both of my dogs. Both of my pets have had to have pretty scary surgeries, and Douglas Oaks always takes the absolute best care of my babies! Dr.Cohn is great at explaining every detail in a short and simple way, always caring and professional! I would recommend this vet to everyone.

Ive seen Briana Watson three times and doubt I would see another masseuse. She is very friendly and asks if I have areas of tension. I always get the deep muscle massage. I still believe she is trained in martial arts because her hands are strong. I am always relieved, relaxed and sleepy after the session. Highly recommended!!!
The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I explained the arthritis and tendonitis issues I have in both my arms and Angela went to work! They felt better right away and continue to feel much better than they did before the massage. She also worked on my jaw (TMD) working loose the muscles and also somehow, popping my ear and clearing up some hearing issues on one sie. I'll be a regular client from here on.

I was skeptical about coming here after reading reviews but took a chance. Had a foot/leg massage and it was amazing. Felt so darn good I was walking on air afterwards. My husband got back/neck massage and he really enjoyed. The staff was kind and attentive to our needs. Environment was clean and soothing. Furniture was too comfortable I almost fell asleep and missed the whole experience. It was great

Mr. C Scott Anderson did an amazing job of teaching me how to do the 2 point turn and parallel parking while I had no prior experience. I would highly recommend for any upcoming drivers on learning to help you pass the test.
